Chapter 9---Starbucks
*Sam's P.O.V.*-1 year later
"Dude you wanna come get some Starbucks?" Jack G. asked me.
"Sure." I said, getting up from the hotel bed.
Currently, I was with Jack and Jack for their Digitour. We were in St.Louis, and today was our sightseeing day, but there's no way I can go around this city without coffee. Jack J. called a cab for us, so it was waiting when we came downstairs.
"Are you guys pumped for the show?" I asked, climbing into the taxi.
"Of course! At least we get today as a break day." Jack G. replied.
The car ride only took 15 minutes, which was surprising because rush hour wasn't completely over. When we pulled up into the parking lot, I saw a familiar figure getting out of her car, but I could be wrong-wait...Lexie?
When the car came to a stop, I practically ran inside to see if it was her, and sure enough, it was. She was sitting in a booth by a window, so the light from the sun was shining perfectly on her face. Lexie was wearing a pair of jeans with a Saint Louis Billikens sweatshirt. Her hair was thrown into a messy bun, and her eyes were glued to her textbook.
"Is that who I think it is?" Jack J. nudged me.
I nodded before making my way over to her table. She didn't see me walk up, so I cleared my throat, causing her to look up.
"May I sit down?" I asked.
"O-of course." She stuttered, looking as shocked as ever to see me.
"Whatcha doin?" I smiled.
"Homework. I go to SLU now." She smiled back.
"Well, how have you been?" I started.
"Good. What are you doing in town?" She asked.
"I'm touring with Jack and Jack for their Digitour." I said, nodding over at the Jacks, who were sitting in a booth together.
"Have you guys been sightseeing yet?" Lexie thought aloud.
"Actually, today is our sightseeing day. Care to show us around?" I offered.
"I'd love to." She smiled. "We'll take my car so you don't have to pay for a taxi fee." She pointed to a red Ford Escape in the front of the parking lot.
"Wanna go catch up with the Jacks some?" I asked, standing up.
"Sure." She replied, gathering up all her stuff, and standing.
I extended my arm out for her, and she gladly took it.
"I'm ready by the way." Lexie whispered in my ear.
"There was never a day that went by where I didn't think about you." I smiled, happy that I got my girl back.
