“Lyssa, let’s go,” I yelled as Alyssa walked down the driveway. “You’re taking for-ev-er.”

“I know, sorry. I still hadn’t changed when you got here,” she said as she opened the door and stepped in.

“What were you doing then?” I put my car into drive and looked back, pulling out of the parking space.

“My makeup. My alarm didn’t go off so I didn’t have as much time as I usually do.”

“Typical. Want to get something to eat before we go to the mall?”

“Yeah, sure. I found a little diner about five minutes away. Do you want to go to it?”

“Yeah, sounds good. Now, where is it.”

-

“Let’s hit Forever21 first, there is a top there that I want so it shouldn’t take too long.”

“Yeah, but then we walk in and you find what you want, then I find something I want, then you find something else, then we both find something we want to try on, then that turns into a whole pile, then we go to check out and find something else, then we leave. I say we do Forever21 last.”

“Yeah, good idea. So where should we go?”

“American Eagle?”

“Yeah, I need some new jeans.”

-

“Lyssa, you already bought three of the exact same pair of jeans from three different stores, do you really need another?”

“They’re not the same! They all have different holes.”

“Lyssa, they’re all black ripped jeans. You do not need another pair. Besides, I think you're wearing that pair right now.”

Alyssa looked down at her jeans then at the ones she was holding. “Oh, guess that’s why I recognized them. She put the jeans back down and walked over to a rack of t-shirts. “Wait, this is cute.” She pulled a t-shirt off the rack and held it up.”

“Lyssa, you do not need another black and white striped shirt. And I thought I had the problem here.”

“But I want it.”

“But half your closet is stripped shirts.”

“Fine.” She put the shirt back on the rack and I started going through tops as well.

“This is cute,” I said, pulling a pink crop top off the rack. I added it onto the growing pile of clothes on my arm and we kept going through clothes.

-

I dropped my bags on my bed and Logan walked in.

“Did you really go shopping again?”

“Yes. It’s not like I go every day. In fact, I only go to the mall like three times a month, and I haven’t had a haul like this in like, three months.”

“Right. Speaking of haul, can I use you as a model? One of the models for the Maverick shoot canceled last minute and we can’t find anyone on such short notice.”

“I don’t know, you know modeling isn’t my thing.”

“Please Mik. I’ll make it up to you later, I promise.”

“Yeah, let me put these clothes up and I’ll be down.”

“Thanks, Mik. Oh, hey, can you change into these before you come down?” He asked, holding out a pair of leggings and a t-shirt.

“Yeah.” I grabbed the clothes from him and set them down on my bed.
“Thank you so much, Mikayla. I owe you one.”

“Yeah yeah. Now get out.” I pushed him out my door and closed it behind him. I put all the clothes into my closet and dresser before changing into the clothes Logan had given me.
