*Macie’s POV*

“Have a good day at school! I love you!” My mom called from her car.

“Bye Mom! Love you too!” I called back.

“Okay Macie. You’ve got this,” I thought as I walked through the hallway. “Just breathe.”

My heart was thudding against chest, as if it were trying to jump out of my chest. There he is, standing at his locker. “You can do this.”

“Hi Charlie.” I greeted nervously, causing him to turn around, his face lighting up.

“Hey Macie!” He smiled, showing off his dimples. “What’s up?”

“Oh My God.. He’s so cute.. Umm. Good…You?” I replied, playing with my hair.

“Good..Good” He responded awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. “So..”

“So..” I repeated, clearing my throat. “Um.. So would yo-“

“Are yo-“ He began to say at the same time. "Oh, I'm sorry! You go."

"No, no! You can go first." I answered.

"Um.." He began nervously, clearing his throat. "I was going to ask you if you were doing anything this weekend..."

"Oh..My...God..." I thought, my eyes bugging out in shock... "Is.. is Charlie asking me out?"

"Macie?" Charlie waved his hand in front of my face. "Are you okay?"

"Uh, yeah. I'm fine. No, I'm not doing anything this weekend. Are you? I was actually going to ask you to go out this weekend, but now i don't have t-" I began babbling as Charlie's smile grew bigger and bigger. "-o.. I'm babbling aren't I?"

"Yeah.. But it's cute" He reassured me, "So..Saturday?"

"Saturday's perfect." I replied happily.

"Perfect." He stated, "I have to get to class..But I'll talk to you later, okay?"

"Okay, see you later Charlie." I smiled and waved at him.

"Bye Macie." He said, quickly kissing my cheek and walking away backwards, waving.

I giggled as he accidentally tripped over a backpack and tried to play it off cool. I turned around and started walked toward class.."I DID IT!"
