Early. It was early, and Aries woken by her disturbing thoughts. The girl felt ultimately... Disgusting. As a result, she headed straight to the shower. It was in a large bathroom, connected to her room... What a luxury. So she believed, anyhow. Aries knew that this... This would be the last time she could shower how she wanted. That being said, she took her time.

Stripping, and letting the air vent run, Aries stepped into the shower and pulled the curtain back. As her presence showed, the shower turned on. "Technology is wonderful... Will they have this at a militia base...?" The freckled girl spoke softly to herself. It was only a matter of paranoia. Her hair soaked, and grew less voluminous. She grabbed her own shoulders, facing the running water.

Beads of water cascaded down her milk chocolate skin, from her forehead to her toes. It was a relaxing sensation that brought her to a peace of mind... One that the girl had not felt since she had received news that she was leaving. It was a beaming thought, one that refused to leave her mind. "I'm leaving... And I'm most likely never returning." the paranoid teenager put into words the thoughts that had enveloped and brainwashed her mind. A reoccurring thought, one she knew would never abandon her toxic thoughts.

It wasn't until Aries bowed her head that she realized what was happening to her physically. Her hands gripped onto her shoulders, nearly tearing the skin like claws. Her stick-shaped body trembled harshly, growing numb to the falling drops of water. What she realized most, though, were the hot tears that covered her face. Her freckled cheeks and her small nose were red, her nose stuffy.

The thoughts that passed thru her mind scared her. She was leaving her family, her friends, her education... All of this was being left behind. All because she wanted to grow up too fast. "My fault... Too late..." Words were hardly escaping her trembling lips, and sentences refused to structure. She looked up, and noted that she wasn't leaving just yet. Regaining her composure, she actually took her shower now.

The girl took about half an hour with the steaming water. She used the best products she had on her skin and hair. She wanted to seem presentable. Though, a small challenge stood in her way. As Aries exited the water, and cleared a mirror, she looked at her eyes, and sighed. Since she was young, due to a lack of melanin in her eyes, they were a bright purple. It was something she never thought of.

Aries shook her head. They would have to deal with it. Moving on, she dressed. No makeup, as that was not one of her interests.  She blow dried her dark brown curls, putting them up in a tight, neat bun. She dressed in black jeans, a white shirt, and some combat boots. Nothing fancy or formal, but the letter said she would be given a uniform once she arrived. With a sigh, she looked at her body. "I have zero curves... I'm so flat." She  gave a slight snort to her own remark.

With this, Aries headed downstairs, phone in hand. It was about 4:30 AM, and her parents were awake to see her off in 30 minutes. Her parents made breakfast, and Aries ate like she would never eat again. For one last time, Aries messaged all of her friends again, letting them know she loved them and such.

Knock knock knock.

There it was. Aries knew. Her father got up, answering the door. He just knew that Aries' mother couldn't do it herself. "Strike Commander Morrison, at your service. We're here for your daughter." Aries' heart dropped. Aries and her mother slowly walked to the door, and stood in front of the door. The strike commander stuck out his hand, and Aries took it with a strong grip. "I'm Strike commander Jack Morrison, but you will refer to me as Commander Morrison." Aries silently nodded.

Aries hugged her parents. She was taller than her mother, as she stood at 5'7, her mother at 5'4. It made the moment cuter. "I'll be back. I love you." She whispered, turning on her heel and following Morrison to the guarded vehicle. Her parents watched as she left, both in tears.

What none of then knew, was that it would be the last time they would see each other.
