As Ebony was staring at the view of her destroyed home, a strong pair of hands swooped her up and kept running. Her hazel eyes looked up and saw the familiar face she had seen in the Cryo room. He took a quick glance at her and winked as he continued to run. She felt her cheeks heat up a little and she looked for something else to look at other than his face.

She watched his feet move through the sand as if it was flat. She was amazed, but she looked over his shoulder and knew he wasn't going to be fast enough. The guards were catching up.

They would both be caught, and she would be put in a cooler again. She couldn't let that happen. She tried to move her legs but found it extremely difficult. Then she realized, her legs had gone numb. She bit her lip in anticipation and looked forward.

She grinned and knew why her savior, or her captivator either one she would have to deal with, was running slow. There was a hole up ahead and she assumed he would jump in. But he didn't, he ran... AROUND IT! What was he thinking?! Did he want them to both get caught?!

She looked at him her entire body tingling with worry and he turned his head. "This is what I get for staying in the dark forever" He groaned and she tilted her head " What do you mean by that?" He nodded to his body and she saw the reason why he was running a bit slow. His body was thinner than a runners would be, but it was well built. She could tell he hadn't eaten in a few days so his energy must be exceptionally low. She frowned "You've got to be kidding. I have to run now? My legs are numb!" She shouted in irritably.

He laughed nervously and looked up, a smile spreading on his face. "We just got reinforcements." He said pointing up as a helicopter flew over head. She gasped and laughed as a huge smile spread on her face.

She was saved! Or was she going to have to escape from these people too?
