POV Change> Me, Inuyasha, Kagome>
"Thanks mom, for dinner.." I say shyly and start to wash the dishes.
"you're welcome kids and don't worry about the dishes Saki. I will get them, you go on.." mom replies assuringly.
"Are you sure?" I ask.
"of course, go play a board game or something." she insists.
"Okay, glad to help anyway." I walk towards the doorway to the living room.
"Kagome?" I call.
"right.." she replied.
"Inuyasha?" she called and started following me.
he said nothing and followed behind Kagome, the three of us stopped in the hallway next to the bedrooms.
"well, what do we do now?" Inuyasha asks.
I look up at him, I wasn't really sure.
I just woke up so I wasn't that tired yet, and it would be a while before I felt like sleeping again.
"actually you guys, I'm pretty tired from all that school work. I hope it's okay if I go to bed now.." Kagome's eyes looked tired and narrow.
"Oh. yeah, of course, I forgot about your homework. go ahead, I'm sure Inuyasha and I will find something to do for now.." I assure.
"Thanks sis.." she smiles lightly and turns away to her room.
"Inuyasha? I sort of have an idea on how to pass the time.." I say cheerfully.
"what's that?" he replies with a curious tone.
"well, on lazy nights like this. I like to go on the roof and look at the stars. looking at them helps me be calm and clear my mind.." I explain sincerely.
"do you wanna go with me? I suppose it would be a good time to talk about some things.." I ask in a peaceful tone.
he nods strongly, and we exit out of the backdoor.
I smile briefly at him before I turn to grab a ladder from the side of the house I placed it firmly against the side of the roof and then lookup.
we were lucky, it was a clear night. all but a few thin sheets of clouds rolled in front of the moon..
"I'll go first.." I imply.
but when I started climbing, Inuyasha jumped and landed on the roof.
his landing was quiet and stealthy..
I calmly continued up the ladder, "oh.." I blurt out after I peeked up and seen him.
"I sort of forgot we were Demon's, remind me next time that I can do that too.." I say as I walk toward him happily.
"We can start on your training again once we get back.." he replies.
"Are you sure? you seemed pretty upset with me the last time we spoke.." I sit next to him.
"yes, I'm sure. Kaede will be disappointed if we don't continue you and your sisters training.." he says quite seriously.
"This is surprising to me, Inuyasha has never been this nice before. or ever showed any signs of really caring about what others think, even less if their fighting skills improve.." I think to myself.
I inhale deeply and lay myself down on the roof to stare up at the sky..
"what do you suppose they are doing right now?" I ask.
he was silent a moment, "I'm sure Kaede is babying Shippo, giving him baths, taking him on hikes to find herbs, cooking for him and new toys to take his mind off of you being gone.." he says.
I largely smile...
"I miss Shippo, it hasn't been that long since I left. and I feel I've been away for years.." my heart becomes heavy.
Inuyasha peeks down at me, he exhales with a frustrating thought on his mind.
"but Shippo isn't the only one you miss.." he says softly.
I was thinking exactly about who he was talking about, but I pretended not to know.
"What do you mean?" I lean up and stare at him.
"Sesshomaru.."
"You have feelings for my half-brother.."
I lose my breath, and my eyes widened.
"I knew all along, you know what he said to me back when the village got attacked.."
I peer over into the distance..
"I-.." he stutters.
He held his breath, "Nevermind.." he exhales.
I gasp quietly and look at him.
POV Change> Sesshomaru>
"come on now, eat." Kaede insists with a soft voice to Sesshomaru.
Shippo furrows his eyebrows, and approaches him.
"Mr."
"why are you looking for Saki?" he says curiously.
Sesshomaru peers down on him..
"you are too young to understand, it doesn't concern you.." he replied strongly.
"well, sure it does!"
"she's my mom! she's the only person I have left in the world.." Shippo tears up and lowers his head.
"your mother?" Sesshomaru mouths.
"well, not my real one. adoptive, but our families have known each other forever.." Shippo replies sadly.
Sesshomaru was awestruck..
"I knew her father, so in a way so has mine.." he says.
Shippo glares up at him, his eyes were big and teary.
"really?"
"yes.." he assured.
Shippo continued to stare..
POV Change> me and Inuyasha>
I'm not sure if I should say anything back, but I'm sure I know what he's thinking.
I sigh, "you should just get it off your mind, you'll just torture yourself if you don't.." I blurt out.
"hmm?" he peers over.
he laid back with his arms folded behind his head..
he stares at me a moment then huffs, and turns his head away.
he stays quiet, then speaks.
"I was going to say.."
"When I first met you, I hated you.."
"but then you kind of grew on me, and. I started to like you.."
"but it doesn't matter now, because you don't feel the same.." he mutters with a straight face.
"I knew it.."
"I feel sorry about it, but it's true. I don't have those kind of feelings for Inuyasha.." I think to myself.
"But I will always like him as a friend.."
"I- I sort of knew. you always brushed it off when I would confront you about how weird you acted.."
"I'm, really sorry Inuyasha.." I reply sincerely.
"don't worry about it, what was said is said. it's over.." he retorts laying on his side in sort of a sad way.
I watch him briefly, then look forward at the moon.
