Chapter 6

Alpha Asher POV

Today is the day that my beautiful girlfriend becomes the Luna of my pack. 

'She shouldn't be the Luna and you know it!' My wolf growled at me. 'If you go through with this, you will no longer have me. I will not come back to you until you make your dumb decisions right and makeup with our mate.'

He was annoying and I didn't care. Adelaide is a caring, sweet, beautiful, wise, and all-around amazing person. 

'We have an even more amazing person for us, but no. You are keeping Adelaide from her mate and stealing her from him. It isn't right. And you, are putting our mate through more pain so you can have it all. You know you just want her for the power she gives you.' 

Just shut up! I don't care about that boring maid. She's a rogue, they are the ones that killed my parents. I should have killed her when I got the chance. 

'She is our mate! And do you know why she was a rogue? Her wolf told me they ran away from her sexist, abusive, disrespecting fiance.'

Wow, she had a fiance. She is a hypocrite if she is mad at me for not waiting for my mate.

My wolf growled loudly at this. 'You don't know what you are talking about. Her parents basically sold her. This was an arranged marriage. She didn't want it. They have been praying for their mate to save them.'

I just shut him off. He can make all the excuses he wants, but it will never be enough. 

It was now four in the morning and I hadn't slept a wink. Adelaide is in her old room instead of with me because she wanted to be traditional. This is kind of like a wedding, but werewolf style. 

'Alpha we have a problem.' A warrior on duty mind-linked me. 

'What is it?' 

'The maid is out here, she just passed out and is not waking up.'

'MATE!' My wolf all but screamed. 

He took over without my consent and ran out. We got there in a matter of minutes.

"Baby, baby girl stay with me. C'mon now open your eyes. Stay with me. Dammit! Where is the damn doctor!" I growled as I did I noticed it wasn't my wolf. It was me. 

The doctor got there a few minutes later and was checking all over. He started to pull up her shirt and I growled involuntarily.

He just ignored me and continued checking her. 

"We need to get her back to the hospital." One of the warriors went to pick her up, but I again growled and picked her up myself. 

"Alpha, I can take her I am the one that found her and you need some more sleep for tonight." 

'Keep him away from our mate! He wants her. Look at the lust in his eyes!'

I would have listened to my wolf, but when the warrior mentioned tonight, it was like breaking me out of a spell. 

"Alright, thank you." 

I gave her to him with a lot of struggle. I have to remember I have an amazing girlfriend. 

 I went back to my office and got some work done, until a few hours later when the doctor mind-linked me.

'Alpha, she's awake.' 

I got up and headed over to the hospital. But when I went into her room her bed was empty and she was nowhere around. I could still smell her, so she was here not too long ago.
