Chapter 20

I awoke to screaming and shouting. 

"I KNOW SHE'S HERE! JUST LET ME TALK TO HER AND EXPLAIN EVERYTHING."

"EXPLAIN WHAT? WHY YOU BROKE HER HEART THE NIGHT YOU ASKED HER OUT?"

"YES!" 

Liam started crying with all of this noise so I figured I should go down and calmly tell them to shut up.

I grabbed my son and walked to the top of the stairs. 

"Oi! Shut up down here! You are making Liam cry and when he cries I'm not happy. So SHUT UP!" 

Asher ran up the stairs. 

"Please let me explain. I have a perfectly good reason for what I did, and you need to take me back."

I raised an eyebrow. 

Lily came over and offered to hold Liam, and I gave him to her. 

"We will talk in my room." 

I spun on my heel and marched over to where 'my' room was. 

We walked in and he shut the door behind me. 

"You have two minutes." 

"Ok, I never really cheated on you, I promise. That girl has been accused of spying and for spilling secrets to other packs. That was the only way I could think of to get her to tell me hers."

"Was it worth it?" I asked. 

He shook his head. "I should have found a different way, or at least told you about it." 

"Was she a spy?"

He nodded. "Yes. She had been leaking information for a while, and we were at risk for war."

I nodded.

"Will you take me back?"

I thought for a minute. "Maybe."

"What? Why just maybe?"

"Asher, this same crap comes up over and over and I'm sick of it. I know that we are going to make mistakes, but you make the same ones." 

"But I can be better. This time is different because I really didn't do anything."

I want to talk with Lily, see what she thinks. 

"Give me a couple." 

I walked out and left him there while I went to find Lily. 

I found her outside playing with Liam in the garden.

 "Lily, I need some advice." 

"Alright, what on?"

"So he didn't really cheat on me. He did it as a ploy to catch a spy." 

"That's amazing! Now you two can be together!" 

"You think that is the right thing to do?"

She thought for a minute. "I think so. He's been trying and since he didn't really do anything... So I think you should forgive and forget."

I thought about it. Maybe it is me making mountains out of molehills. 

"Thanks, Lily. Are you good with him for a while longer?" I asked and motioned towards Liam.

"Yeah, he's a good kid."

I smiled. "Thanks"

I went back and found Asher where I left him. 

My wolf was shouting at me to kiss him or to do other things. 

I walked up to him, and he got up as soon as he noticed my presence.
