Chapter 16

Fallacy's PoV:
Johnathan say.
"I know its hard, and I cant put myself in your shoes, I get that your in pain. I feel it from the way that you are speaking. I know that the pain your feeling is unbearable and it is something that I myself can't fully comprehended, but never forget, that I am here, we are all here, and we love you for who you are, not the wings that you bare on your back. " I see more tears come out of Erra's eyes but I am speechless and frozen. "The pain that you're feeling, we all feel it in our hearts. No matter how small. If you ever need someone to talk to, to lean on, to just be there for you, I am always right here if you need me. I love you Erra." It was silent for a moment then Erra spoke. "J-john....." her voice came back a bit but was still raspy and hoarse. "W-why m-e?....." she asks.
"That's a silly question? " he says chuckling a bit to lighten up the mood. "What's there not to love about you"
"J-john.....I-Im s-orry" I watch as his face turns to sorrow. "I-I love y-you t-too b-but.....I-Im not r-ready"
"I understand but I will wait for you no matter how long it takes" he smiles and Erra smiles back. After a while and everyone has calmed down we all decided to finally go to sleep. "Erra?" She looks at me as I carry her to her room. "I'm sorry" she just smiles and hugs me. "It's n-not your fault," she manages to get out. I stare at her a bit unsure of what to do next then it hits me. "Suave"
"Yes M'lord?"
"Please get Erra some water."
"Alright M'lord" and he bows and runs off to the kitchen. I spoke to Johnathan for a moment and said goodnight to both of them then headed off to my room. I opened it to see Encre all ready for bed. "Encre?" He turns toward me and I finally notice how tired he looks. "My dear I'm-"
"Mon amour, It's fine we can now rest."
".....Encre how are-" he cuts me off again.
" I'm fine Fallacy its just that......I'm worried, not just about Erra, but about you and this war." He stops for a moment. "Maybe, I should just return to the king so the war will end."
" NO! I-I mean please don't. You are the best thing to happen to me Encre. Please don't leave."
"But Fallacy what if you get hurt because of me!"
"I'll be fine" I reassure him.
"What if Erra gets even more hurt and what about Jasper?" I stop for a moment to think then I respond.
"Johnathan probably would protect Erra with his life he will probably protect Jasper too knowing how much she cares about him." Encre still doesn't look convinced. "Don't forget dear that Suave and the maids will also protect them. They are trained to protect and serve us." I see a glint of hope sparkle in his beautiful eyes that I couldn't help but give him a kiss.
When I finally pulled back from the kiss I saw his face was a rainbow hue. I chuckled a bit and grabbed him falling onto the bed. I chuckled more as he looks at me suprised a bit. I kiss his skull. "I love you my dear" and I pulled him closer. "And I will always love you."
"I love you too."
"Goodnight"
"Goodnight, mon amour," and we both drift off to sleep.

In the morning......

I awoke groggily a bit with my head spinning a bit. I waited till it calmed down enough to were I was able to sit up. Its probably due to the lack of sleep. I thought. I look down at Encre who was still sleeping. I smiled and kissed his forehead. I looked towards the door and got up. Suave should usually- Then there was a knock at the door. There he is. I opened it to find a very tired Suave. "Good morning" he stops and yawns. "M'lord".
"Good morning Suave, sorry about what happened last night" I tell him scratching the back of my skull.
" Its fine M'lord what happened last night was no ones fault." I nod but I still knew that it wouldn't have happened if I'd only went to bed. I sigh. "M'lord are you alright?"
"I'm fine just...." I sighed again. "Last night when me and Encre were about to go to bed he- he stated that he should just go back to the kingdom" I sigh as Suave rummages through my drawers and finds a shirt and hands it to me.
"Well sir if he wants to go back you should allow him to go" he says helping me. "You don't want him to be unhappy do you?"
"No I don't but his reason for wanting to leave was so that no one could get hurt...." Suave ponders for a moment as he reaches for my cloak.
"Even if he does leave I doubt the king would be satisfied and would still attack."
"So what are you saying"
"I'm saying we should be prepared, as we already are, and if Encre wants to leave.....let him leave." And with that I was dressed and ready. "We should let Encre sleep some more, anyway breakfast is ready." I nod as I follow him down to the dinning room.

Carlos's PoV:

I saw many of the kings troops and many other kingdom troops training in the courtyard but one caught my eye. The fish girl commander was a bit sloppy with her moves so I went over to her. "Hey!" I yelled. She looked at me with a bit of sorrow in her eyes. "What's with that look "
"N-nothin'" she says looking away and focusing on the dummy. "It's nothing"
"Oh there's definitely something, what's up fish brains?"
"The sky, and don't call me that," she scoffs.
"Don't act smart and tell me what's wrong!" She sighed, looked at me, and spoke.
"A couple of days a go I went into the forest for a walk."
"And your still alive?"
"Shut up! Anyway as I was walking-"

Flashback

It was darker then I remember. I thought to myself. And kept walking. Then I saw a girl she didn't notice me at first. "Hey!" I yelled. She turned towards me. She looked very tired but I then noticed she had fangs and wings. A vampire..... she looked scared as I reached in my pocket for my stake. It wasn't there. I saw her start to run. Then out of nowhere I grabbed my pocket knife and chased her. Once I caught up to her....... I attacked. I tore her wings. I tried to stop myself but once I did. I saw her laying there on the ground presumably dead. I was in so much of a state of shock I ran leaving her there,

End of Flashback

"So that's what got me down" she said.
"So why are You feeling so bad about killing her. Don't you kill vampires."
"Yes but she didn't pose a threat at all and yet I still attacked her. And hey how aren't you sad about me killing her!" She asks me.
"I don't give two shits about my kind"
"Oh." Then I get an idea,
"Hey what did this girl look like? I could probably identify her ."
"I'm okay, she had black hair, tanish skin with freckles, a black cloak with a white blouse under neath, and golden eyes." I froze, Golden eyes? The only golden eye vampire who wears a white blouse with a black cloak that I know about is Erra. "Hello are you okay!?"
"I know who you killed......"
"Who?"
"You killed the vampire king's daughter......."
