Mel and Chris's Big decision

12 weeks later

Mel's POV

Today marks 12 weeks since we found out that I was pregnant. It's being Wild today we are finally and officially adopting Olivia, which meant that we were finally able to tell the fans what we have been hiding. For the past weeks, it's been very hard for me because I have had to hide my belly which hasn't grown that much but I still had a plump stomach. The CW Supergirl has being great working with us and making Kara pregnant. Everyone has been great and of course Chyler new straight away, but once we got the all clear from our midwife we were able to tell everyone at 10 weeks 2 weeks early. Everyone was so excited but very cautious on what I did, it was like everyone was watching my every move. Chris always said that 'they were watching over you because they care.' And it was kinda nice but annoying.

I helped Olivia get changed into a nice dress and put a cute bow in her hair to compliment her long bleach blond hair. "There you go, tonight you are officially our daughter what you think about  that?" Mel asked Olivia. Olivia hugged Melissa causing her to fall back on the floor, thankfully she was kneeling down and was close to the floor.

"I love you too," Melissa said, the two girls both laughed. They got up and walked out and saw Chris sitting out with Mia.

Olivia ran out to Mia, giving her a hug. "You look very beautiful," Mia told Olivia "Thank you," she said giggling.

Over the past couple of weeks, Mia has become more a part of the family than just a nanny. Even though she had a family back in England she had lived in America for most of her teenage years with her mum and sisters.

"Are you coming?" Olivia asked Mia. "No sweetie, mum, and dad has given me the day off because my mummy and sisters are coming, plus they want this to be a family day, because It's all about you," Mia said, starting to tickle her, making her giggle. I sat on Chris's lap, giving him a kiss, and smiled at each other.

"Olivia we should get going," Chris said.

"Ok," she said jumping off Mia's lap.

The three got into the car and they headed out to the courthouse. When they arrived no one was there which was very lucky for them, so they were able to get in without any problems.

We all walked into the courtroom, Olivia holds each of our hand. "How does this work?" Olivia asked in a cute voice.

"Well the judge might ask us questions, and he or she will ask you a few questions, and then he might say yes or no, but because it's already gone through via Amy all we need to do is sign some papers in front of the judge and then your fully ours" I explained to Olivia.

"Ok" she simply replied looking up and around the tall room. When we arrive up to the front of the courtroom, Olivia hides behind Chris's legs, peaking her head out. We both laugh and he picks her up. And she still buries her head into his neck. "Be brave" I whispered.

"Ms. Benoist and Mr. Wood you are not married correct?" The judge asked.

"No your honor," we both said at the same time.

"Right, are you to planning on getting married?" There judge asked

"Someday," Chris said wining at me

"Right, so in some case, it's important that children go to homes where the people are married or have been longtime partners for many years, how long have you to being together?" The judge asked.

"3 years your honor," I say. "Good, now with Olivia's case its special because Amy her carer, has said that she want's to give you custardy of Olivia, and she has been living with you for the past couple of months correct?" The Judge asked.

"Yes your honor," we say "We have also said that at anytime Amy is allowed to see Olivia," I said

"Good, now I know who you two are but for the matter of the court, what do you to do?" The judge asks us.

"We are both actors, and we have a live-in nanny that when we have late night shootings or Olivia needs to be looked after on set," I explain.

"Good, I understand that Olivia is a part-time actor too, will you be enrolling her in school at any time?" The judge asked

Chris and I look at each other "Yes your honor" Chris said.

"Good, Olivia can you look at me, so I can ask you a question, or did you want to come up with me and look down at your parents?" The judge asked Olivia looked at both me and Chris, we look at her and give her a nod, Chris puts her down and allows her to walk up to her.

"So Olivia, how do you like Melissa and Chris," The judge asked

"I love mummy and daddy," Olivia said

"Oh wow, that's good, are they, good parents?" The judge asked

"Yes they always make time for me," Olivia said

"Well that's good, I like that, well Ms. Benoist and Mr. Wood would you like to come up and sign the documents and then Olivia hear can bang this gavel." The Judge said

"He said I can bang the gavel," Olivia said exactly, we all have a chuckle, and sign the documents.

Once all the documents are signed he hands Olivia the gavel and allows her to bang it. Once she did she ran back down to us engulfing us in a hug. I give her a kiss and turn back to the judge who is smiling.

"Now I do expect that you come back here in three months so I can see how its all going and I would like Olivia to be enrolled in a school." He said, we both nodded and smiled.

When we arrived home we organized if Mia and her mum and sister can help with setting up Olivia's welcome to the family, banner as well as some food. We also organized the rest of the cast to come round as well as our family members so it could be a real family affair.

They also had their 12-week scan today which Olivia couldn't wait for even though they didn't know the sex yet. Chris and I knew that she was going to an amazing big sister to a brother or sister.

The family walked into their home as a family, Olivia was now Olivia Lee Benoist-wood. When they walked in everyone yelled 'WELCOME TO THE FAMILY' Olivia jumped at first but then smiled

"For me?" Olivia asked us, we both nodded with a smile, she ran to where all the food was and then ran to give everyone else a hug.

Chris and I sat down with Olivia as each of their parents came forward and gave her a gift while they got Chyler and a few other people gave her a gift they got for her.

"This is Nannie and Pop," I say for my parents."And this is Grandma, and grandpa" Chris said for his parents. They each gave Olivia a gift to welcome her to the family even though she has met them once before.

Chris POV

After the small family affair was over we decided to give Olivia her gift form us in privet and so we could post our photo of the four of us that we have being dying to post. But I decided that I wanted to do something that I wanted to do before comic-con.
