Hey Supervalorian's
here is another chapter, I am trying to practice my editing if you have any suggestions or ideas let me know.
Mel's POV
It was 6:15 in the morning and had been awake for the past 45 minutes feeling uncomfortable, I know I'm 4 months pregnant and I feel like a bloated whale, I hear giggling coming from the living room, I get up slowly making the bed role back up to its original place since I'm saying it down. When I open our door, I hear scattering and a hand peak out from the little fort they built last night with the remote, I look over to the TV it goes from color to black. I get down on my knees even though walking was hard enough and crawl towards the fort. It goes quiet, but I still hear gigging. As I get closer and closer I peak my head in "BOOH" I say and the kids screamed along with laughing. "SHH," I say quietly, they kids quiet down as I move into the fort. "What are you playing?" I asked them
"Mario Cart" Nick say's. "Oh, can I play," I ask the kids laugh, and nods their heads. We turn the TV on and start to play. We have been playing for an hour and I am very surprised that Chris hasn't woken up, although I did hear footsteps earlier. The kid's eye's where glued on to the TV and I saw Chris walking out in a scary mask, somehow got into our house, since the blinds were still shut and the room was dark, Chris flicked the lights on and off again and again. "WHO GOT MY CINDERELLA!" He yelled the kids laughed and Chris started to growl. "I HOPE THE NASTY EVIL HORRIBLE LOOKING TROLLS DIDN'T TAKE HER," he said and jumped in front of the fort growling making the kids scream, along with Beth and OLIVIA, we both laughed with them. "Do the trolls want breakfast?" He asked the all got out of the fort running towards the kitchen. My two girls stayed in the fort. Happy birthday, girl" I said going them a kiss. Even though Olivia's birthday was yesterday she knew that she would be celebrating it today with Beth her sister, and she didn't mind that. All the kids got to help make their own pancakes which were done by pre-made pancake batter. The kids were allowed to choose what was allowed in their own pancake and with the help with Chris and my self they were able to pour it In and help flip it.
The Kids were all dressed and ready to go, Chris's parents and my parents came to help with the party set up, they were already down at the park setting up the area with the food and the presents we got for the girls. All we needed to do was to get the kids down there and since it was down the road and because it was such a nice day we got the kids to walk down. When we got down there and we were across the road, Chris let the dogs off and the kids chased the dogs before coming over to the table of food. We allowed the kids to play on the playground and if they wanted to play a small of the game of baseball. The girls said that they didn't want any games. After the kids played a small game of baseball Olivia and Beth been the captain and fighting over who gets who. Chris's mum brought the cake out. Everyone ran toward the table, Olivia and Beth standing infant of the cake and all their friends. Because the girls want both somethings princes like yet not too girly, we just decided to get them a purple cake.
"Kids before we sing happy birthday to the girls, we just want to say thank you for coming to the girls birthday's it hasn't been easy for Olivia since she knew, but also for Beth, all of you hear becoming friend s with our girls mean a lot to us, and to the" Melissa says almost crying "MUUUUMM" Olivia and Beth both say looking up at me. The kids and adults that were their all had a laugh. "Ok, should we sing?" Chris said. "YEEEEAH," they all said. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OLIVIAAAA AND BEEETHH. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU" They all sung "ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT, NINE" they all said while clapping. The kids lined up and had their piece of cake while sitting on the grass trying not to let the dogs eat their piece of cake.
As the kids were eating cake Chris mum helped me get the kid's party bags ready. "How are you feeling," Chris mum asked "Yeah good a little tired but good" I reply. "Chris always talks to Libby and me on how excited he is to have another girl," she says with a laugh. "I don't know what he's talking about because this one is defiantly a boy" I reply with a smile. "he's happy either way Mel," she says with a smile. "I know" I reply. The kids finished eating all their cake and decided to go back to the playground. "You go I'll get it" Chris's mum replied. I nod and head over to the playground. "Can we play a game mummy?" Beth asks. What type of game?" I ask back. "Umm," Beth asked scratching her chin. Making me laugh "remember you all have just had cake," I tell her. "ok, what about who can to the course the fastest, and whichever team wins gets a prize," she says with a smile. "What kind of prize?" I ask her. She shrugged her shoulders. "Ok. let me think," I tell her looking at the playground, Smiling. "Ok kids Beth wants to play a game and I think I've figured something out. So what's going to happen is that you will start at the end of the ladder climb up and, race through the tunnel go to the monkey bars to the end, then you are going to go to the swings and swing until you think you have the right height for you, and jump off if you want to and land and that will be you line and whichever team finishes first win but if the other team has the most length in the swing they win, oh and if your feet touch the sand, your out, but the team keeps going" I tell all the kids. "Everyone got it?" I ask. The odd their heads and thankfully get into the teams that they were in when they played a game of baseball.
With that, they got in line sneaky organizing how they would it and who's the best at what. Mel had seen them do the swing jumping thing so she asked it was ok and no one got hurt. "Ready" I said and Olivia and Beth got ready at the front "Set" I said again they looked at each other and smiled "GO" I said and they ran up the ladder, through the tunnel, jumped down to the Monkey Bar's and ran to the swings, this was the only time they were able to touch the sand. The girls got on the swings and swung as high as they could even though I was thinking it was too high, and jumped and landed. "GO" they both yelled to their team ambers while they drew a line of where they went. Chris came up to me, "What are we going to get them?" I asked Chris "Olivia and Beth, their presents area home Mia has got them all out so when they go in they will be in the living room," Chris told me."I don't mean them I mean the teams?" I said. "I don't know what should we get them, I mean something small I guess, maybe a medal, I saw them at the dollar store?" Chris suggested. "yeah" I replied. One of the teams were on the last two and they were all so good trying not to fall, but a few people did, but I was still gonna give them all a prize. The kids all finished the little race and came running to me. I had to think of something fast. "Great work girls and boys, looks like Beth's team one, so me and here will grand get your prizes tomorrow and she and she can give them to you on Monday and when we see her baseball friends, on Tuesday, as for Beth's group don't worry I'll get something for you too, everyone is a winner I say" as the kids cheered.
Once all the kids were gone with the parents picking them up, Chris's mum help pack all the presents and everything else into her car that was down at the park while the girls, Chris and I walked back to our place so they could be all surprised with all the gifts they got from the friends, us and family. Thankfully my sisters, and mum and dad got home before Chris's mum so they were able to help Chris's mum with unpacking everything along with is getting everything ready for when the girls got. Chris decided to take a video of the girls and me walking the girls in, we knew this was going to happen because we had planned it and wanted the girls to know that they were special and were our girls, I put the blindfolds on the girls telling them that we had a surprise for them, we told them that they would get their presents at the end of the day on Beth's birthday but we gave Olivia one thing yesterday for her actual birthday.
"Ready girls," I say as I open the door with Chris behind me, guide the girls in carefully not to band one of them into the door frame. "Ok just a little further," I say nodding to my oldest sister to start filming, and my youngest sister to take photo's of their reaction as well as mine and Chris's.
"Take the blindfolds off girls," I say. The next thing we hear is ear-piercing screams from the girls as they ran up to their presents, Chris and I sat down next to them as they unwrapped all the presents not even caring about the wrapping paper. Chris and I made sure that the girls present were kept separate from each other. The girls kept unwrapping and looking at their presents and on to the next. When they were all gone we told the girls to clean the wrapping paper up and get all the cards so we could place them on the blinds we had hanging them up. "Olivia, Beth," I say the girls come over. "We have one more present for you Beth. This is a very special present and we decided to do it today because what better day to do it than today." I say. Chris gets up and goes gets the envelope, hidden between the books on the bookshelf. "This is for you Beth" Chris say. "Beth comes over and sits on his lap, helping her open it. When she opened it and saw the first sentence 'Bethany Hannah Benoist-wood'. I saw hope and love in her eye's she hugs Chris and ran over to hug me. "Thank you, I love you mum," she said. My eye's started to water. "I love you too baby girl" smiling, giving her a Kiss. "What is is" Olivia asked. Beth took the whole piece of cardboard paper out and let Olivia have a look, Olivia smiled hugging her new sister for real now. We were now going to be a family of five. I knew this was going to happen so I got Olivia's certificate and put it on a farm and brought a frame for Beth's two. I showed Olivia her's that was in a frame 'Olivia Grace Benoist-wood' Olivia suggested we hand them up in the living rooms and start a family wall of photo's I smiled at the idea that my daughter suggested.
We left the girls to play with their new birthday presents as Chris and I started to clean up what Chris's mum brought back from the park. Our families decided to stay for a small dinner with our close family for the girls birthday.
I hope you enjoyed this sweet chapter for the girls.
