Mel's POV

We arrived home to see Olivia sitting at the table eating her afternoon tea, as was Mia, sitting across from her. When I opened the door she jumped off her hair and ran towards Chris and I.

"Mummy daddy I had the best day," She said as picked her up giving her a kiss. "Really" I asked "Yeah, even though everyone was asking for things from you and daddy, I don't think the really wanted to be my friends, except this one boy" she explained "A boy, nope, I don't approve" Chris said making Olivia and I laugh, Olivia went in for a cuddle to her father. "Daddy, I don't like him, he just came and sat with me because I was alone" Olivia explain "Oh what about Keira?" Chris asked "She was sitting with her friends, they didn't really want me in their group," Olivia told us.

"Oh that's not good at all baby now, let me get some more snacks and you can tell us how the rest of your day was," I said, going to the kitchen to get food and brought it back to the table. Chris tried to take some from me. "This is all for me, get your own," I said slapping his hand. Making Olivia and Mia laugh. Chris got up and got and got his food, which wasn't as much as what Melissa got.

Olivia continued to talk about her day, halfway through Olivia talking, Mia had to leave due to a phone call, which we allowed since we were home. Chris got started Olivia on her homework even though she tried her best to tell us she didn't have any. I noticed that Mia wasn't back yet, I decided to go and check to see if she was all right because I noticed that she hasn't been herself. As I was walking down to her room, I heard yelling, and I couldn't help but listen in. "No, you can't come over, you need to understand that I love what I do, and I have to make sure that my full attention is on this job," I couldn't hear what or who was on the other side. "No, No" I hear her yell, which makes me barge into her room, to see her on the floor sobbing.

"Hey, Hey, Hey, you're ok. You're ok" I tell her sitting down on the floor, putting my arms around her pulling into a hug, which at first she hesitated at first but then leaned into me, sobbing.

I sit with her and stay quiet until she was ready to speak or until she was ready for me to ask questions. But starting with "Are you ok". She looked up at me. "I don't think it would appropriate to talk with you about it," She told me. "You off duty, so its ok, we are here for you as much as you are here for Myself and Chris," I told her she smiled. "Are you in trouble, do you need help?" I asked her.

"the phone call was .. he," She started, immediately I thought the worst. "has he hurt you, hit you, harassed you?" I asked. She looked me in the eye's and I saw hurt. "Mia, has it being happening while you have been with us?" I asked her. She looked up at me again. "Mia, honey," I said as she sobbed into Melissa's arms.

"We will figure something out, he doesn't know where you live?" I asked her and she shook her head.

"Good, how about you take the afternoon off, and go out," I asked her. "Are you sure?" She asked me. I nodded "You come to us if anything happens ok, you are apart of the family just as much as Olivia is ok," I told Mia, she nodded wiping away her tears. I gave her another hug getting up, slowly and walking out of the room.

The family had finished they Chris was putting Olivia to bed while Melissa was cleaning up. Chris came out wrapping his strong arms around Melissa, giving her a kiss on the neck. "Have you finished?" He asked her.

"Yeah almost, I just need to wipe the bench down and clean the sink," Melissa tells him trying not to overcome his kissing. "You don't need to clean the sink, just come to bed," He says. "Please" he states taking away the sponge throwing it into the sinking and picking it up and carrying her into the bedroom. "Wait I need to put my phone on charge," Melissa says, he sighed and put her down, she grabbed it and followed him into their room knowing that she had lost but really they had both won.

As the had just started to have fun, Melissa's phone rang, they both groaned. Chris rolled off Melissa giving her one last kiss. "Hello," Melissa says. "Yes this is she, can I help you?" Melissa says through the phone, as Chris starts to kiss her neck. "Yes, I am her employer?" She says trying not to laugh and moan. Melissa pushed him away. "She was what?" Melissa said jolting up. Making Chris worried.

"Um, of course, I'm on my way," she says.

"Whats wrong Mel?" Chris asks her.

"Mia, she's been hurt, and is in the hospitable, stay with Olivia and if she asks, just tell her the truth but stay calmly don't want her to worry" Melissa explained to Chris, giving him a kiss on the lips getting outputting a change of close on and ran out with her keys to go to Mia at who was at the hospitable.

Melissa raced into the hospitable asking for Mia's room once they gave it to her she raced as quickly as she could to find Mia in a bed with a bruised eye, her arm in a sling and many other harmed part to her body. Melissa was shocked. "Mia who did this to you?" Mel asked her, sitting beside her bed, pushing away her hair that she couldn't as well as wiping away her tears, which she flinched at.

"He did it, I went out, and had some dinner, meeting up with some friends, and when we came out of the restaurant he must have known I was there, and he started to harass and say that I am not worth it and I was a waste of time, and he started to hit me, I tried to defend my self but he was too strong, and when I tried to walk away not wanting to hear what he had to say, he pushed me to the ground and started to beat me up, it wasn't until one of the security guards from across the street saw what was going on, it stopped and my friends brought me to the hospitable," Mia told me

"Mia honey, we are going to help you ok, we will make sure that he doesn't harm you or anyone else again," I told her, and wiped away tears from her eyes.

After a few minutes, the doctor came back in. "You must be Melissa, nice to meet you" the doctor started "Mia, is alright to go home, she just isn't allowed to do too much physical activity for a few days, nothing is broken, we have your arm in a sling because when you fell you dislocated your collar bone" The doctor said. Since you are her employer and next of kin I will get you to sign her out, and you are all free, and Mia, be careful ok" the young doctor said giving her a wink. I smiled at his actions.

"Yes, thank you I will" she responded, I saw a slight blush come from her red cheeks.

Melissa took Mia home, and helped her get cleaned up and into bed, and then went to bed herself feeling extremely tired, she cuddled into Chris, as he gave her a kiss on he forehead. "Everything ok?" He asked Mel. "Yeah, I will explain everything in the morning," She told him, both falling asleep. 

I hope you enjoyed this story, I am enjoying writing it :) I have a new story coming out next week, once I finish writing Not the life I intended. its a Melwood story, but I am going to start writing a story where Kara and Mon-el go to live on Argo.
