Note with this chapter I know we are in July and not in December, - note in December Chrismas is summer where I am from. and have been off with the school holiday, but its because I'm not from the states to go with me :) Thx

Mel's POV

Getting closer and closer to Christmas Day the girls were getting really excited asking when Santa was coming and if he got their letter Chris and I reassured them that he did get the letter. Since the family Christmas party was going to be in Vancouver at our house this year I was running around doing thank but also been told by Chris that I need to calm down. I was always waking up exhausted and not to be able to have coffee it was tougher trying to get out of bed every morning.

It was Christmas Eve when we put the girls to bed which took ages because Chris decided to give them alcohol-free eggnog and on top of that they were excited for tomorrow to see what Santa gave them as well as what we got them. before we went to bed we checked on the girls to see if they were asleep, so we could put the presents from Santa out so that we didn't have to do it later.

Morning broke and I was feeling the usual, bloated like an elephant, Chris's on arm around my belly while the other was in-between our two faces. Even though I was partly awake, when Olivia and Beth bolted into the room saying Santa came we both woke up smiling. "What did you get girls," I ask they both ran out giggling. Chris and I smiled at each other giving us time to kiss. Merry Christmas babe" we both said I pulling each other into a passionate kiss. "EWWWW," the girls said while laughing we laughed along with them "Merry Christmas" I whispered. Smiling the girls pulled the sacks (Stockings)  they got having their name put on them. "Girls how about we take them out there" Chris suggested. Chris helped them taking them out while I struggled out of bed.

When I got to the living room the girls had already tipped everything out on to the floor. "Come on girls Santa wouldn't want you to do that would he?" I told them, slightly annoyed at the lack of resecting they had from the toys they got from Santa. "Sorry" they both said, in sync. I sat down next to Chris him kissing my forehead as we watch the girls open their presents. Seeing the joy on their faces was amazing. "Girls come here," I say as I feel a kick. I put their hands on my stomach as they feel their brother kick for the first time. The girls smile at me and their daddy. "Can we open your presents now?" Beth asks I giggle a little "Ok, just one. The rest are for when the family comes over ok" I tell them. They were a little sad when I said they could open one, and leave the rest till when the family came over which wasn't for another couple of ours which would feel like an eternity for the girls.

When our families came round all the kids decided that they wanted to play the Nintendo, which didn't phase us, it would keep the occupied so all of us adults can have a chat.

"When is the wedding?" Mum asked. Chris and I looked at each other, we had just decided on a date, and we were announcing it well now. "We have to have it in Denver, Colorado on the 5 of August, and I know that it's not far away and no I haven't got my dress yet, but I am waiting till this one comes out," I told the family with Chris holding my hand.

"That's Great," Marissa Chris's mum said

"Thank you, we have already organized the place, 'The Barn at Raccoon creek'" Chris said "And the wedding minister," I say with a smile, that all smiled and engaged in more conversation about our wedding, and also about our unborn baby.

It was an hour into the family over and the kids all came over begging us if we could do presents. Since our lunch wasn't going to be ready for another hour and a half.

"Ok, let's do present, who wants to be Santa?" Marissa said as the kids cheered and also wanting to be Santa to give out all the gifts. My soon to be brother-in-law ended up been Santa, so the kids could enjoy opening their presents from their parents and aunts and uncles.

The kids loved opening their parent's gifts. Seeing Olivia and Beth opening their first real Christmas parents was so enjoyable, their eye's lit up of every single present they got, showing their cousins what they got.

Lunch was ready we all set up or kids getting them ready to eat, then we all got our lunch ready so we could all sit down and eat. Our conversations were about how the kids were going to school and what they had been doing, also about Chris and I's work, how both our families were rooting for Karamel to get together.

After lunch, the kids wanted to go down to the park, especially Olivia and Beth to show the new game they made up Snow Baseball. Once the kids had a play we all returned home and turned on the TV and had some hot chocolate (Hot Cocoa), enjoying the time together before our new wild ride start in well a couple of weeks, with our baby due to be born in the first week of January.

The rest of the family bar Marissa went home to their hotels flying back to their homes tomorrow, so they could see their other side of the families and friends for the holiday season. It was so nice having Marissa here helping us, Chris loved it and I think she did to having someone to help, and do things for, it gave me more time to rest and read our upcoming scripts.

There you go, I hope you enjoyed :)
