Kana smiled as she looked around the dining hall of the Kit pirates ship. She just had placed the last pot of food between the hungry men and like always they were very noisy while digging in. Growls and curses echoed through the air as everyone tried to get as much food as possible, threatening everyone, who dared to glance at his neighbour's plate. She giggled and once again wondered how she had landed on this ship full of brutes.
It already had been around six month, since the kid pirates had attacked the slave trader ship she had been held captive on and just had taken her with them as part of the loot.
One of the men had freed her from her cell, yet not for one second, she had the hope that now she was free. Not since she had seen the jolly roger that was tattooed on the man's arm. Everybody in the new world knew about the rooky Eustass 'Captain' Kid and that he and his crew weren't known to be one to help a damsel in distress. Without a word, just a wicket smirk on his face, the man threw her over his shoulder and carried her off, just to drop her like a sack of potatoes beside the other things they had captured. He didn't care that she was cursing and hitting his back. "Ow" she whined, rubbed her sore behind and was about to shout at that idiot, when a huge shadow fell over her. "What did you bring here?" Slowly, she turned her head, then grained it upwards to be able to meet the face of the Captain himself. Like a wall of muscles, he was towering above her, his mechanical arm partly hidden inside his cloak. She felt unable to look away, though this man was looking rough and brutal, she found something oddly attractive in his red messy hair, the scars, that contrasted with his pale skin and the crazy smirk that was plastered on his face. But his eyes. They were cold and merciless. She swallowed hard, her heart thumping wildly in fear as she already saw her end nearing.
"I found her locked up on the ship. How about we keep her? Maybe, she will become..useful" The crew stayed oddly silent to this man's suggestion, yet Kana didn't like the way he was pronouncing the last word and quickly her fear was replaced by anger. She probably would never leave this ship alive again, but she was willing to let herself be a toy for the crew. "Hey!" she snapped at the smirking pirate "If you think I will allow your filthy hands anywhere near my body, you're wrong. I rather jump right down a sea king's throat" Now the pirate was the one to become angered. His smirk fell, and his fists twitched like he was about to hit her, but before anything like this could happen a maniac laugh split the tension. Her head snapped back around to watch Kid throw his head back and cackle on. When he had calmed, he studied the petite woman, who just had so easily snapped at this man, but now went silent again and paled at the sight of him. Kid went down on one knee in front of her and captured her chin, before she was able to get away from him. Sweat was trickling down her face while his eyes searched for something unknown in hers. She felt unable to move, nor breathe, in her mind replaying all kind of tortures she was sure he was planning for her, but he just kept looking at her. The crew began to whisper around them, wondering what the captain was doing there, not used to this kind of behaviour, then a man, wearing a helmet stepped forward. "Kid?" Said man snapped out of whatever he was thinking and immediately this rageful expression was back on his face. He clicked his tongue, then roughly let go of her chin and straightened up. "You can stay until we reach the next island, then you get the fuck off this ship. And don't get in my way, woman" And with that, he turned and walked away. She kept starring at his back, not sure if being alive on this ship was the better fate than just being killed off.
