*Breeze's point of view*
My sleep is interrupted by the doorbell ringing. I groan and close my eyes again hoping whoever it is will go away. My body feels weak and my nose is stuffy and I feel completely awful. I do not need someone  interrupting my rest. I go to California in one week and I won't be able to go if I'm sick.

The doorbell doesn't stop though. It's annoying ringing it loud and clear. I sigh and get up. I slip on my fluffy bunny slides and slowly trudge to the stairs. Maybe it's not as loud upstairs. I was wrong, meaning I walked up the stairs for nothing. I might as well answer. I hope whoever is at the door isn't scared of the Grudge because I definitely can see a resemblance right now.

I peek through the window careful not to be seen. I have to make sure there isn't a serial killer trying to chop my head off and sell my liver for three dollars. Actually, I think livers cost more than that. On my porch stands a boy facing his back towards me attacking my doorbell. This better not be a waste of my time.

I walk over to the door and unlock it. I open the door and stand there in shock. My eyes must be deceiving me. I blink once, twice, too many times, trying to make sure I'm not dreaming. "Hi Breeze", The boy chuckles.

I squint my eyes. I'm sick and hallucinating or something. If I was hallucinating I wouldn't be able to touch the image, right? I reach up and cup the boy's face with both of my hands. I softly pat his cheek then his hair. The boy smiles at me shyly, but he doesn't move my hands away from his face. "Tell me I'm not crazy", I say.

"You're not crazy", The boy confirms. I move my hands away and move to the side to let him in. I shut the door behind him, making sure to lock it.

"I'm not crazy, but you are", I say, folding my arms. Who in the right mind would just leave without telling anyone? What even is Daniel doing all the way in Canada? He is insane. Completely mental.

Daniel gives me a toothy grin showing off his tooth gap. "I'd be crazy to leave you alone to die", Daniel corrects.

"I'm not dying",I deny. I feel like I'm dying, but I'm seventy percent sure that I'm half okay- that doesn't make any sense. I think I'd know if I was dying. I watch enough doctor shows to know the difference between deathbed and sickbed.

"You will be dying if you don't get your butt to bed", Daniel replies as a matter of fact, "Don't make me carry you to bed."

"You don't know where my room is", I point out, "But if you're offering to carry me my room is the last door down the hall on the right." I throw my arms up ready to be carried. I admit I was surprised when Daniel was carrying me bridal style. My arms wrapped around his neck which he didn't seem to mind about. I just want to make sure he doesn't drop me and put me on my deathfloor. I thought he was joking, I guess there's always something new to learn about people.

"What are you doing here?", I ask. I look at him, still puzzled about his sudden appearance. I think a heads up would have been nice. I have't exactly made the best impression. I look like I got hit by a bus followed by a list of big moving objects.

"I wanted to come admire your slippers", Daniel answers. I look at my feet. Yeah, definitely not my best impression. He'll get over it one day, hopefully.

"Jealous?", I joke.

"Who wouldn't be jealous?", Daniel plays around, flashing me another smile. He does that a lot, but I'm not complaining.

He opens the door to my room careful not to drop me. He gently puts me down on my bed and takes me slippers off putting them on the side of my bed. "Are you the opposite of Prince Charming?", I ask. He looks at me confused. "In Cinderella the Prince puts the glass slipper on and you took of my fluffy bunny slippers", I explain. Daniel chuckles and throws a blanket over my body.

He takes a seat on my desk chair and turns it to look at me. "What are you going to do, Seavey? Watch me fall asleep?", I tease. I admit he looks a bit tired.

"That is exactly what I was going to do. I'm glad you're a smart cookie, Wind", Daniel says. I roll my eyes at my nickname. I've got to admit I do really like how it sounds when he says it. I move aside and pat the spot next to me. Daniel shakes his head denying my offer.

"Oh come on, we're best friends and to be honest you look like you haven't slept in three years", I laugh. I lift my blanket up for him to go under. He sighs when I wiggle my eyebrows at him. He takes off his shoes and climbs under the blanket.

"If we're going to talk about looks right now we need to talk about the nest birds made on top of your head."

"It is a bird sanctuary, let them be."
