I use to set up all night, thinking.
'Why is love such a wanted thing?'
I never understood why.
I wanted to understand why I wanted it.
I wanted to understand why it is important.
Then, that changed.
One man changed it all.
This isn't your Disney Princess love story.
This is a fandom story.
My Killjoy story.
I would listen to them sing.
"I'm not okay."
"When I was, a young boy."
"Teenagers scare the living s*** out of me."
"Sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls."
Then, there is this.
"I'm not afraid to keep on living, I'm not afraid to walk this world alone."
My life changed.
I want to walk the world alone now.
Because when Gerard said, "I'm not okay," I knew I wasn't.
When he said, "Right now, they're building a coffin your size."
I said, "No! I'm going to join the Black Parade!"
Now, I am proud of who I am.
Well, some what.
But I am a proud Killjoy!
