Today

15 1 1

Today, we will walk.
Hand in Hand,
Side by side.
Not carring what tomorrow brings.
As tomorrow isn't today.

Today, I come to you.
And take your gentle, loving hand,
Holding it so very close to me,
As I may never hold it again.

Today, we are each other.
Tomorrow we might not,
But that won't stop me.
No, just because I can't see you doesn't mean I won't think of you.

Today, once this snow stops falling,
I'll see you.
Only when I can.
But I miss you,
Looking at these pictures doesn't help.
How long should I wait to see you?

Today.

This was written for my Great Grandmother. I hope to one day give it to her since I rarely ever see her. I miss going to her house since now she is in a nursing home.

I miss her dearly and I know how much she loves poetry.
