They say that beauty is pain but isn't their beauty in everything?

Why do they tell us that we are beautiful if it pain?

They tell us that we are beautiful just the way we are.

Then they tell us to change ourselves.

They tell us that we are not slim enough, that we are not pretty enough, that we are not smart enough, and that we are not this or that.

But if beauty is pain, then why are we told that we aren't beautiful?

Do they want us to be in pain so we are accepted?

Wait, who is they?

They are Society!

Society tries to tell you that you have to look a certain way.

If you didn't know, the images of women in magazines aren't what you think they are.

They show us that they have a waist only about four or five inches wide.

They don't!

The editors use photoshop to make them slimmer.

But shouldn't they be shown as who they are?

If they should, why don't they?

Because they want to show us that the most beautiful models are slim.

Wait, if being beautiful is associated with being slim does that mean we all need to lose a hundred pounds to be beautiful?

No!

You shouldn't have to be slim to be beautiful and to get the guy you want.

Because if he doesn't want you for you, then you shouldn't want him!

As I wrote this, I would sit up late at night and ask myself questions.

"Who would want to be beautiful if beauty is pain?"

"Do I want to be beautiful?"

"If beauty is so much pain, why does it create so many problems?"

Then, I get a message from a friend saying, "The song is like you, beautiful."

I text back, "I know you are trying to be nice, but I don't want to be beautiful because beauty is pain! And I don't want to be in pain!"

I wish so many other people would say the same.

Because who wants to be beautiful is it means there will be pain?

I know I don't.

This is for all those out there who don't think they are beautiful.

I think you are beautiful just the way you are, but not in a beautiful yet painful way.

A way to where you are everything somebody wants to be.

You are somebody who is unique and special in your own way.

Don't ever let anybody tell you otherwise.

Now, next time you look at yourself, tell yourself this: "I am beautiful in a way nobody else can be if they want to change everything about themselves."

And that is how beauty is pain.
