This... can NOT be happening

Seriously? Seriously!

Not sure what direction I'm taking this story, I'm probably gonna end it soon, just not sure how. Also I'm thinking of writing a teen wolf story so if any of you would like that let me know ;)
Jacks pov:
Friends, Friends?! Shawn wants to be friends. Fuck my life. Jesus Christ. These past two weeks have been great, me and Shawn have been getting very close, it almost seemed like he was still in love with me. Then he goes and says 'I was so hoping we could be friends again' like what the hell is that? Is he trying to crush all of my hopes and dreams. I guess if friends is what he wants then friends is what I'll give him. I can be a kick ass friend.
"Hey jack" Shawn says when I open the door "I was wondering if you wanted to go get coffee or something with me"
"Yeah sounds good" I nod grabbing my shoes.
When we get to the coffee shop shop down the street from the hotel we stand there and look up at the menu, our hands nudge slightly like we almost want to hold hands but won't.
"Here you go, and may I just say you to make an adorable couple" the guy behind the counter says, I look away awkwardly and Shawn starts to blush.
"Oh we're not uh no, we're not together" I stutter not looking up,
"Oh you too just looked together, sorry" he mumbles softly while handing us our drinks.
"Huh" I smirk slightly,
"Crazy sense of deja vu" Shawn laughs uncomfortably as we sit down,
"That was a good day" I sigh,
"Yeah, It was" he smiles.
"Ya know that was actually the day I fell in love with you?" I speak up after a few minutes of silence, I guess he wasn't expecting that cause he started to choke.
"Wh-what?!" He asked still coughing slightly,
"Yeah it um, it was the first few days of us trying to become friends, also the last day , at least for me. That was the day I decided I wanted to be SO much more than just friends." i sigh and he smiles sadly at me,
"my feelings were already there, just more cemented after the kiss i guess" he responds
"it was a really good kiss"
"yeah it was" we both stare off thinking about the way it felt with eachother.
"but anyway, it's over now and we're great friends so it all worked out" shawn smiles brightly,
" yeah. friends."

we walk back to the hotel in silence filled with a hint of awkward tension. i reach out a little and me and shawn's pinkies touch slightly, i expect shawn to pull away but instead he reaches closer and interlocks our hands. even something as small as holding my hand makes my heartbeat grow faster and my knees week. we don't break off when we get to the hotel, or while we're in the elevator, or when we get to the hallway with our rooms on it.
"so cameron wanted us all to go hang out in his room around 4, were you gonna go?" shawn asks and i nod,
"me too so i'll see you there"
"yeah" i sigh not wanting to part ways with him. i lean in slightly wanting to be closer to him, shawn leans in too, so close i could feel his breath on my cheek and i start to think he might kiss me.
shawn's pov
i lean in towards jack with every intention to kiss him, today had been so nice and god i've missed his lips. but the closer i got to him the more my brain kept shouting "he'll only hurt you again! don't do it! keep him at an arms length". so i pull away and close my eyes to regain my composure,
"i had a lot of fun today, i'm glad that we're getting back to how were before this whole relationship mess" i say before i let go of jacks hand and walk into my room. i don't really want to be his friend, i don't want things to go back to normal, but i don't know if i want to be in a relationship with him again. i don't know how we could fix things. i don't know ANYTHING and it terrifies me. i lay down on my bed and try to relax before i have to go hang out with the guys again and pretend i'm completely over jack.
shortest chapter i've written on this, but i felt like i should update it slightly. i think the next one but be the finale or part one of the finale. i hope you enjoyed it. also you guys should check out my new story and derek from teen wolf ;)
