Harry

After Louis kissed my cheek he went on to talk about a bunch of things, but I couldn't focus on any of it. I was still living in that glorious moment where he leaned in. If only one of us had moved our head over the tiniest bit.

I just felt like we were invincible. We went from zero to that in one night, it's the fastest I've ever done anything. Even though we don't know too much about each other, in that moment it felt like we did.

I don't know, I think it's because he put so much trust in me. I had been nice to him at school when no one else was and it made him feel safe. I like that, how I can be his safety blanket, no one has ever seen me as that.

Those who know me see me as the guy they ask to draw their homework assignments when they don't want to. Louis doesn't see me like that which is why I think I let everything happen. It was nice being seen as Harry and not as a homework helper.

"Hey Harry." Louis says and shakes me, bringing me back to reality. "I'm pretty sure the doorbell just rang."

I give him a small small and the groan and push myself off of the bed. Of all moments for Shane to show up why did it have to be now. On the bright side help is finally here and Louis will have something more than ice bags to heal him.

I open the door  to reveal Shane and Melodie holding the biggest first aid I have ever seen. "I promise I didn't buy this, Mel brought it from school." Shane says letting himself into the house. "So you look fine, what's the emergency?"

"Follow me upstairs and I'll show you." I tell them and then close the door behind Melodie. "It isn't as bad as I made it out to be."

Shane tries to get up the stairs before me, but I nudge him out of the way. I don't want him seeing everything before I'm in there. I need to control the situation as much as possible in order for things to go smoothly.

"Before you go in I should warn you, the hospital isn't an option. He's afraid and honestly I don't think anything is bad enough that would warrant even needing to go. I was just terrified earlier so that's why I made it sound so bad." I tell Mel, stopping her in my door frame.

"You're such a mom." She jokes and opens the door, revealing Louis.

He has sprawled himself out across the sheets making all of his bruises present. Even though I've been staring at them all night they still look terrible. Whoever has done that to him is a terrible person.

I hate that the more I look the mire bruises I notice. He honestly looks like a human punching bag, which breaks my heart.

Mel immediately rushes to Louis' side and helps him sit up against the wall behind the bed. She sends a frantic glance back at me and I shake my head.  She's just experiencing the initial shock of seeing him.

Louis sends me a worried glance but I give him a smile. I want him to be comfortable in this awkward situation. It probably isn't ideal that he's getting a house call like this, but it works for now.

He smiles back and I feel my entire world melting; that boy has such a beautiful smile.

Shane puts down the first aid kit and grabs my arm, dragging me out of the room. I try to release his grip, but he just grabs my arm even tighter. He's mad at me I can tell, but its not like I could just tell him that over the phone. There's no easy way to say that you have a boy who may have been abused in your bed.

"Harold did you blow me off because you had a crazy night with Louis? He's all beat up how rough did you go?" Shane angrily whispers.
