THIRTY THREE – I found a replacement date

“So it wasn’t Carlo who took your girlfriend after all. It was my stupid brother,” it is Kristin. She came when she knew I had a double date with Miko and Cassie. And she is more interested knowing my date is her minion Maiden. “And you’re bringing that girl, uh, I can’t believe you.”

“Then who do you want me to bring, you?” I answer. I am not even expecting her to care and to come since she just got out of the hospital. I think she might be related to a cat having as much as nine lives and still as fierce as before.

“We’ll I could have agreed if you told me. That would be a distraction from everything that happened with me and your stepbrother.” She forces a smile. “And besides, I don’t want my best friend near that back stabbing bitch who left me to die while she’s partying at Cassie’s birthday.”

“Well, you can do nothing about it. It was settled. I’m going with maiden as planned.” I answer her preparing the clothes plan to wear.

“Come on, I brought a dress with me.” She looks at my eye and blinks like a puppy. “I even hired your sister to do my makeup, right Andrea?”

“Yes,” my sister is now at my room’s door peeping, also giving me a puppy eye. “I don’t how they got along. Some time ago Andrea acted like she hated her, now they’re like best-girlfriends.”  

“What are the two of you scheming?” I ask folding my hands over my chest. Kaye can’t go with me not having any sort of plan of her own. I know her too well and she may look innocent and harmless but she’s not.

“We just want to get revenge on Maiden for abandoning me in my times of need...” Kristin starts.

“And get Cassie back so the two of you could live happily ever after,” Andrea finishes. My younger sister is now with Kristin sitting on my bed while I focus on the clothes I am to wear. I want to look my best so Cassie will feel bad not having me as his boyfriend.

“And how about your brother?” I look at Kristin. “Aren’t you supposed to be on his side?”

“I should be, but I’m also on your side.” She answers. “And besides, it would be easier for you to get Cassie back if your partner a.k.a. date knows about it right? And trust me, Maiden is a clingy bitch, you wouldn’t want her following you around.”

“But Miko knows you will never ever want to date me,” I tell her which pains me coming from my mouth. Although I might like Cassie, I still feel something for Kaye.

“It is an advantage for you,” Kristin answers. “That will make him know that you’re fighting to get her back. And that can take him off guard but he can’t tell Cassie that. Since telling her that you’re plotting something means revealing everything. It will reveal his lies. It’s a good plan.”

“Fine, I’ll text Maiden that I changed my mind,” I take my phone from my pocket but Kristin snatches it from me.
