DON’T FALL FOR ME MY FAKE LOVER by: Avaritico

FORTY ONE – I heard his Confession

Lee holds my left hand even if I struggle. He pulls me close and encloses me in a tight embrace. Struggling is hopeless so I just let him do as he pleases and stay in his embrace. “I missed you so much,” he says. He snuggles his head on my shoulder. Without my resistance he let his guard down so I am able put my hands in between us and push him away.

“Don’t touch me,” I say and walk away. I feel him walk and hold my hand again. He stops me from moving an inch more.

“I’m sorry for everything,” He says. “Okay, I don’t know what I was thinking back then. I was an idiot, I was stupid.” He continues to hold my hand even though I am pulling away as hard as I can. So instead I turn to face him.

“I guess we can both agree with that,” I retort sarcastically.

“I didn’t mean everything I said. I cared about you, I just didn’t believe that. Not until you were gone. I missed you so much.” He walks towards me and I stay in place. He then puts my hand, the one he is holding on his lips for a kiss. I roll my eyes on him.

“Fine!” I say without any more struggling for him to let go my hand. He still holds it like it’s the most precious thing on Earth. “You missed me, now you’ve seen me. Happy?”

“Why are you being like this?” He loosens his grip on my hand. “I know you felt something for me too, even before you found out I was the real Enrique. I knew it. And I’ve seen the look in your eyes when I kissed you. From that moment I knew there was something between us.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” I deny. Yes, maybe I did feel something for him that time, but I can’t feel that now. All I can remember is the hurt he made me feel. He said he didn’t’ care for me, and that he felt nothing. Maybe I was hurt because I did love him. Well, whatever, I’m angry now and that is that.

“Don’t try to deny it,” he says accusingly. “I knew you felt the same way I did. I know you felt something for me.”

“Don’t be so full of yourself Lee or whatever you call yourself,” I tell him straight to face him. “Just because you forcibly put that lips of yours on mine and saw something whatever on my eyes, as you claim, doesn’t mean I have a feeling for you. You might have been day dreaming that time.”

“It’s not only that, from your messages and from our calls,” he adds but I won’t lose this war, not with him.

“I might have felt something but that was from the guy I knew was Enrique. You’re not him, and besides it was already a long time ago. Just like what Angus told you, I have already forgotten about that event and about you.”

“Don’t lie to me,” he speaks again. “I know you knew I was the real Enrique. Carlo told me everything. Carlo told you that I was just confused, that I need to realize that I love you not Kristin. Carlo told me you felt something for me.”
