. . .

The next morning, when leaving your apartment, you noticed a few doors down, Midoriya was exiting an apartment. You gasp, rushing over to him. "Izuku!" He jumps, turning to look at you. "O-Oh, Hey (Y/n)!"

You greet him with a warm hug. He blushes, slowly wrapping his arms around you, burying his face in your shoulder. You grin, pulling away. "I didn't know you lived here!" He sheepishly looks down, nervous at the close proximity. 'So close...'

"I d-didn't really know you l-lived here either. Guess we both got a s-surprise?" He glances up, meeting your bright (eye color) orbs. You laugh slightly, putting a hand on his shoulder. "We should get going now. Don't wanna be late, do we?"

He shakes his head, murmuring a "nope" as you and him start walking to the subway. You look up at the clear sky, a bounce in your step. He notices the difference in your attitude today and questions you about it.

"Oh, I don't know, I just feel happy today. Like something interesting will happen." You shrug, calming down. You meet his eyes. "Sometimes I feel like I should thank you because of that."

His face heats up. "W-What?" But you and him had made it and were ready to board. You grab his hand so you wouldn't lose him in the crowd and get on. The ride there was quiet, you not saying anything else to him.

Approaching the school, you squint your eyes at the mob in front of the gates. You slowly come to a stop, but Midoriya kept walking. He tried slipping through the crowd, slowly succeeding. You lose sight of him, sighing.

"What's with that?" You looked behind you, curious as to who spoke to you. It was Todoroki, who slowly walked up, stopping beside you. He didn't seem like the type to willingly start a conversation with just anyone, so what was this about...? You furrow your brow, observing the boy. The fact that he had asked you a question had completely slipped your mind.

He seemed to be observing you as well, waiting for some sort of answer. He sighed, turning away when you stayed silent, and continued walking. You gasp, rushing to catch up so he didn't leave you behind with his long legs. Upon closer inspection, it looked like news people. You groan, rolling your eyes. Of course.

You shove past some of them, making your way slowly but surely to the gates. You get stopped by a woman shoving a microphone into your face. "What is All Might like as a teacher?" She demanded a response. You freeze up, eyes wide in terror. You tremble slightly, staring at her. She was judging you, wasn't she...

Todoroki surges forward and grabs your arm, glaring at the women. "I'm sorry, we need to be on our way." He pulled you away, leaving the woman behind. You stumble along beside him, soon catching yourself before you fell. You look up at him, his grip still on your forearm. You smile, "Thank you, Todoroki-Kun."

He looks at you, an aloof expression on his face. He simply nods, loosening his hold but not completely letting go. The two of you stay in this position, even when you reach the classroom. He slides the door open, leading you inside. A few people looked over, startled to see Todoroki holding you close to him, you looking willing as well.

You pat Todoroki's shoulder, making him look at you. "You can let go of me now, you know." He nods, letting his arm fall to his side. "You alright? You looked pretty freaked out back there." You let out a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of your head. "Hah, yeah..." You slowly shuffled off to your seat, not liking where this conversation was going. You sit down, glaring at the window as if it assaulted you.
