. . .
You groan. As soon as you had opened your eyes, you were met with bright white. You squeeze your eyes shut for a few seconds before trying again. Once again, you are met with a white ceiling. You attempt to sit up, but as soon as you try, a shock of pain shoots through your body. You gasp, falling back onto your back.
It all comes rushing back to you. USJ, the villains, the Noumu... Your father...
You grimace, but your attention is captured by the soft sound of someone... sleeping? Huh? You turn your head to the side, being met with the sight of a slumping Kirishima. He was asleep in the chair beside the bed. Wait, what? You turn your head to the other side, surveying the room you're in. It's... It's a hospital room. Your eyes widen. Were your injuries that bad?!
'I mean, the arm and hands weren't that serious, but before passing out, the Noumu grabbed me around the torso and squeezed... Maybe that did something?'
You're jolted from your thoughts at the sound of your name. "(Y/n)-Chan? You're awake now?" You blink, looking back at Kirishima. You hadn't even realized he woke up, you were so lost in thought. You smile at him. "Hey, Eiji-Kun..." Your voice was scratchy and rough, and you winced at the sound of it. How long were you out?
He didn't seem to mind the state your voice was in. He looked relieved. Your eyes scanned his figure, noting that he looked unscathed. "Eiji-Kun?"
"A whole day."
"Huh?" You tilt your head to the best of your abilities. He elaborates. "You were out for an entire day. I was starting to worry you may never wake up..."
You shake your head, exhaling shakily. "No, Eiji-Kun. That's not that I was about to ask." He blushes slightly, averting his eyes. "O-Oh... Sorry..."
"Is everyone alright?" You ask what you wanted to ask. He nods, smiling as he looked back at you. "Yeah! Except for you, Midoriya, and the teachers, everyone only had minor and light injuries. Yours wasn't as bad as the teachers, of course, but it was worse than Midoriyas injuries. He just had broken bones and some other minor things. You..." He trails off, a sorrowful look crossing his face. You reach out to him, grasping at his hand. He blinks, looking at you in surprise. You smile. "You can tell me."
He sighs, nodding and looking down, intertwining his fingers with yours. "Well... I'm sure you already knew that you had a broken arm, from the Noumu, but it also did something else. When it gripped you around the torso, it cracked your ribs and gave you serious bruises. Not to mention, your hands were burned from overusing your quirk."
You gape at him. So that's why it hurt to sit up. He flinches at your look, eyeing the floor as if it became really interesting. "Yeah... It's pretty bad." You're about to respond when the door opens. You look over, seeing Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida slip in. Midoriya spots you eyeing them, and gasps with relief. He rushes over to your side, "(Y/n)! You're awake, oh thank goodness!" He slung his arms around your laying form to the best of his abilities, considering you're laying on your back. You reach up to encircle him with your free arm, smiling. "Mhmm, I'm awake. Eiji-Kun filled me in already."
Uraraka bounds to your side as well, eyes wide. "(last name)!" She also wrapped her arms around you, this time around your midsection, taking caution of your injuries. Kirishima awkwardly lets go of your hand, but you don't let go of his. You squeeze his hand, encouraging him to take it again. He nods, holding your hand as Midoriya and Uraraka let go of you. Both of them had red dusted on their cheeks. 'Hold on, are they blushing..?'
