. . .

Long story short, you were terrified and anxious. You knew Midoriya was powerful, but you also wanted to make your aunt proud. Plus, you were scared of hurting Midoriya.

   'Yeesh, get a grip, girl...'

Your thoughts were scattered all over the place, and you found it hard to focus. You needed to take a walk.

"(Y/n)?" Midoriya looked over at you as you stood up, a little confused. You had been sitting stock still all throughout the current match, and you just got up all of a sudden, certainly, he would be confused.

You smile over at him, hoping it's convincing enough for him to not pry.

"I'm just gonna go on a little walk, alright? I need to clear my head," and off you go. Midoriya stared after you, a concerned expression appearing on his face.

It was halfway through Uraraka and Bakugou's match when you returned, a distant look on your face. You quickly sat down in your spot beside Midoriya and focused on the match, leaning back against your seat. Midoriya glanced over at you from time to time, but he didn't say anything.

You were disappointed that Uraraka didn't win, but you knew she gave it her all. You were walking down to the waiting room where you would be until your match against Midoriya. You took a couple of deep breaths, arriving at the room. You push open the door and startle, not expecting anyone else to be in there. Uraraka was sitting at the table. She looked up in surprise at your entrance.

"Oh- (Y/n)-Chan! Hey!" The brunette greeted you. You muster a small smile.

"Hey. You okay?" You ask, worried. "You did a good job, by the way. I was really wanting you to win."

Uraraka smiled at you. "Thanks. I'm fine, don't worry. Bakugou-Kun is really strong, heh..." She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "Anyways, I should probably go. You need some quiet before your match, right?"

"Uh, I guess...?" You had a weird feeling, but you couldn't identify what was causing it. "See you... later?"

"Bye!" Uraraka stood promptly and exited the room, smiling brightly at you on the way. You were still quizzical, but you sat down anyways.

"Alright... Focus, (Y/n)... You can do this..." You gulp, pausing in your speech to yourself. 'I hope...'

"Alright! And now for the first match of the second round! Are you ready?!" Present Mic added a dramatic pause in his announcement, and you rolled your eyes. "His first match wasn't as exciting as the others, but maybe this one will spark something! Midoriya Izuku, Versus--" You take a deep breath, calming yourself. "Isn't she something special? (Y/n) (last name)!"

There was a pause before you heard the queue to begin.

   "Start!"

Immediately, you activated your quirk. You formed your hands into the form of a gun and aimed at Midoriya. You waited for a second to steady your hand before you shot a burst of electricity at him. He yelped and tried to get out of the way, only barely managing to dodge. You clench your teeth. "Damn."

Midoriya looks over at you, concern showing on his face. You shake your head to rid of your thoughts before trying to shoot him again. This happened over and over again, with him still barely dodging the shots of energy. You click your tongue, realizing you'd have to try something else.

You take a step back and kneel down, hovering your hands right above the ground. You send electricity into the stone, and after a few seconds, you see Midoriya starting to run towards you, probably to try and attack. You stand and jump back, forming a thin cloud wall between you and him.

And you release the electricity from the ground.

You clench your fists and stand your ground, feeling a few shocks yourself.

When that was done, you put a hand on the cloud wall and absorb the electricity from it. You break through the wall and run towards Midoriya, who had gone still. You knee him in the stomach- sorry Izuku!- and get behind him, putting him in a chokehold. You then release the electricity from your body that had built up, feeling a little guilty. You whisper into his ear, "I'm sorry..." and let him go.

He falls to the ground, unconscious.

It was silent for a few seconds before your victory was announced.

"(last name) advances to the next round."

You don't smile, even as almost everyone in the stands cheer for you.
