. . .

"For today's hero basic training, It's turned into a class with three instructors; All Might and me, and one more person." Aizawa-Sensei stood at the front of the classroom. In the seat beside yours, the boy with black hair raised his hand, "Excuse me! What'll we be doing?"

Aizawa-Sensei holds up a small card, the word "Rescuse" on it in bright blue letters. "Disasters, Shipwrecks, and everything in between. It's rescue training."

Around you, everyone erupted into happy exclamations. And of course, Mister-Mood-Killer said, "Hey, I'm not done." Everyone got quiet immediately. "You can decide if you want to wear your costume or not this time. Because there are probably costumes that limit your abilities, too. The training will take place off-campus, so we're taking a bus. That is all. Start getting ready."

He walked off. Everyone around you got up, taking their outfits to go get ready. You stay seated for a second before getting up as well, grabbing the case that held your outfit and going to the changing rooms to put it on.

You went to where the rest of the class was gathered, looking around for Midoriya. You spotted him, walking over as Uraraka kinda asked about his outfit. "Oh, you're wearing your P.E. clothes?" She tilted her head. "Where's your costume?"

"They got ripped up during the combat training, so I'm waiting for the support company to fix it..." Midoriya explained, rubbing the back of his neck. You smile, making eye contact with him. "Well, both outfits suit you." You smoothly compliment him before walking away to go converse with Ojiro.

After starting a conversation with Ojiro about the rescue training ahead, you're cut off sharply by a whistle blowing.

"Class 1-A, gather around! Form two lines by your student numbers in order to make boarding the bus go smoothly!" He continued blowing his whistle after speaking. 'Hah, he's really going full throttle...'

Turns out, we didn't need to do it that way because of the type of bus it was. Sorry Iida. "I say whatever comes to mind. Midoriya-Kun..." The frog girl started talking. "Um, yes, Asui-Chan?" "Call me 'Tsu'." "R-Right..." Asui Tsuyu continued with what she was going to say, "Your quirk is like All Might's." You glance up, looking at Tsu and Midoriya. She was right, it was a lot like All Might's quirk. This got you thinking about what you heard that morning, making you miss what they said next.

You blink, coming back to the real world. Kirishima was talking, ...But it's nice to have a simple augmenting-type quirk. You can do lots of flashy stuff! My Hardening's strong against others, but unfortunately, it doesn't look like much." To prove his point, he held out his arm and activated his quirk on it. "I think it's really cool!" Midoriya said, smiling. You nod, speaking up, "Yeah, It's a really strong quirk, one perfect for a manly hero."

Kirishima looks over at you. You were seated, not in the seats facing each other, but the first seat that actually is like a bus seat. You rested your arms on the top, grinning down at him. He smiles, "You really think so, (Y/n)-Chan?" You reach over and pat his head, fumbling with his red locks, "Mhmm. I really think so, Eiji-Kun."

Tsu watches you mess with his hair, noting that Kirishima never really lets people do that. She turns to Kirishima, "(last name)-Chan must really mean a lot to you, doesn't she?" The redhead blushes, eyes widening, "Huh? What do you m-mean, Tsu-Chan?" You blush, quickly pulling your hand away. Tsu smiles, shrugging, "Nothing, just wondering."

Kirishima quickly recovers from his fluster, "Hah, thanks (Y/n)-Chan, but you have to think about popularity as a hero, too, you know."

Across from them, the blonde known as Aoyama starts speaking, "My Navel Laser is pro-level in both flashiness and strength." Mina looks at him, putting a hand on his shoulder, "But it's not great that it gives you a stomachache." Kirishima perks up.

"Well, if you're talking about flashy and strong, it's gotta be Todoroki, Bakugou, and (Y/n)-Chan, though, right?" Beside you, Bakugou looked over at them when he heard his name, but continued looking out the window. You don't even know how you ended up beside him, but at least you're on the outside. "Bakugou's always mad, so he doesn't seem like he'll be popular, though."

You and Midoriya both flinch at Tsu's words, as Bakugou looked up again, "What the hell? You wanna fight?!" He stood up, leaning towards them. You lean over to the side slightly, avoiding him. Tsu turned in Midoriya's direction, pointing back at Bakugou, "See?"

Across, on the other side, the kid named Kaminari spoke up, "We haven't known each other that long, so it's amazing that everyone already knows his personality is crap steeped in sewage." "What's with that vocabulary, bastard?! I'LL KILL YOU!"

You press against the seat you're in, sighing. 'It's gonna be a long trip...'

"We're here. Stop messing around." From the front, Aizawa-Sensei called out. The bus stops in front of a large building. Everyone filed off the bus, and you were thankful to be away from Bakugou. He could be a handful once ticked off.

Right outside the building, the rescue hero, Thirteen, is there. "Everyone, I have been waiting for you." Everyone around you gets excited. You grin, 'Working with pro heroes is really fun. I should loosen up a little bit.'

Thirteen leads you all inside the building, "A shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm, et cetera-- It is a training ground that I made with different types of accidents and disasters. It's called the "Unforseen Simulation Joint," or "USJ" for short!"

Aizawa-Sensei walks over to Thirteen, asking about where All Might is. They answer quietly, holding up three fingers. "That's the height of irrationality." Aizawa-Sensei turns to look at everyone. "It can't be helped, Shall we begin?"

Thirteen nods, looking at you all. "Let's see... Before we begin, let me say one thing... er... or two, or three... or four... five... six... seven..." They held up their hand, looking at it. "Everyone, I am sure you are aware of my quirk, Black Hole. I can suck up anything and turn it to dust."

Midoriya, like the fanboy he is, speaks up, "You've been able to use that quirk to save people from all kinds of disasters, right?" "Yes, but it is a power that can kill easily. Some of you also have quirks like that, right?" You perk up at their words, remembering your father. You frown, pushing him from your mind.

"In a superhuman society, personal quirks have been certified and stringently regulated, so that doesn't seem to be a problem at first glance. However, please do not forget that there are many quirks that can easily kill with one wrong step." You flinch, biting your lip. You knew this better than anyone here...

"With Aizawa's physical fitness test, you found out about the possibility of your own hidden powers. and with All Might's person-to-person combat training, I think you experienced the danger of using those powers against others. This class is a fresh start. You shall learn how to use your quirks to save people's lives. You do not have powers so you can harm others. I hope you leave here with the understanding that you have powers in order to help others. That is all, thank you for listening." Thirteen bowed slightly, pleased that you all had the patience to listen to that.

Everyone around you gets all excited, but you don't. Your eyes are focused on something in the distance. Up above you all, the lights flicker, an electricity shock being sent through them all. You don't blink, just stare at the growing purple mass near the fountain. The lights turn off, and you raise your hand, pointing to the fountain.

"Sensei, I think we have company."
