I exited my house and walked down the street. The wind blew against my face and the cold made me shiver, even with my coat on.

I was on my way to meet my boyfriend. We've been dating for about 4-years now. He asked me out in the 7th grade.

At first, I didn't know why because well.... I'm me. I'm clumsy, stupid, loud, annoying, and mostly weird. I'm picked on daily by girls at school for it. Also, the fact that I dress like a boy doesn't help.

But I can't help it. My family isn't exactly wealthy and I have 8 brothers all of who just give me hand me downs because it's easier on my parent's finances. I recently just got a job, so buying clothes that actually fit me will be nice. Then I can finally dress well for my boyfriend.

The pizza shop where we were supposed to meet is in distance. I smile at the thought of my boyfriend waiting for me there.

But, I should've known it was too good to be true. My heart sank when I saw what was right in front of me.

My boyfriend was with another girl. I grab my mouth and just wanted to burst out in tears.

My Casey was with April. They were laughing, joking, smiling. He even grabbed her hand out of the blue and kissed it. Why she was there, when he knew I was coming was beyond me!

I back up away from the door and run away. Tears pour down my face, but I don't make a sound. I find an alleyway and run in. I put my back to the wall and sob. How could he? Why? What did I do wrong?

I sit there and sob. My body shakes with every breath I take.

"Are you okay?" I hear from a voice in the shadows. It was gentle but sounded broken. Like I was.

"Yes. I'm fine." I lie. If the person can see then he'll know I'm lying. But who would really care about me?

"No your not. Did something happen?" He asked me. I hear him shuffle around before it went silent. I stayed quiet for a second to try and compose myself.

"I just caught my boyfriend cheating on me," I start, letting out little shaky breaths as I spoke, "with this girl." I didn't want to say her name. I don't think she knew so I can't be mad at her. The guy chuckled softly. "What?"

"Looks like we're in the same boat then." He spoke.

"You too?" I asked. He didn't make a noise. "You do realize if you just nodded I can't make it out, right?" He laughs.

"Sorry." He said. I laughed with him.

"It's fine. Kinda at our weakest right now. Can't expect us to be perfect just like that." I said snapping my fingers. People walking by probably thought I was crazy. I even looked and saw a someone looking at me, before talking to her husband or whoever it was about me. I looked back at my feet.

"Right." He said. We sat there for awhile.

"What was her name?" I asked. He was silent for awhile.

"April." He said. I froze

"O'Neil?" I asked.

"Yeah." He said quietly. I scoffed and grabbed my face. "What?"

"My boyfriend cheated on me with your girlfriend," I said. Rage filled me.

"Your boyfriend is Casey?" He asked. I nodded.

"Today was our four year anniversary," I spoke.

"I'm so sorry to hear that." He said.

"It was probably my fault," I spoke.

"Why would you say that?" He asked.

"Do you see how I'm dressed?" I asked.

"What about it?" He asked."You look comfy." I looked at him.

"I wear hand me downs from my brothers," I spoke. "My family isn't wealthy enough to afford clothes for me."

"Money tight around your house?" He asked. I nodded.

"My dad is the only one who works. My mom refuses to work because she believes she's better than everyone and my brothers are no different than her." I spoke. I wipe away the tears. "I just got a job and was planning on buying clothes for myself that would actually look nice after I help my dad maintain the house and shop for the month." I froze at a realization. "I'm sorry I turned this conversation into myself." I grabbed my face.

"It's okay. It looks like you needed it." He said. I smiled.

"Do you wanna talk about anything?" I asked.

"No." He said. His voice cracked. He was lying. I let it pass. I wasn't going to pry. "Except maybe the fact that she did that cause I'm different."

"We're all different," I spoke.

"No, I mean I'm really different." He said. I gave him a confused look. I couldn't see him but after talking to him for a while. I figured he was sitting down next to me in the shadow.

"How different?" I asked. He was quiet. "My names Ashley by the way. But everyone calls me Ash."

"I'm Donatello, but I usually go by Donnie." He said.

"You have any siblings?" I asked.

"3 brothers." He said.

"I out beat you," I said.

"Why how many brothers you have?" He asked.

"8," I spoke. "Four older, four younger." He laughed.

"I have two older, one younger." He said.

"Your pretty much the middle child too," I spoke. We laughed. "Whats your brother's names?"

"The oldest is Leo. Then there's Raph. Then lastly Mikey." He said.

"I have a brother named Mikey too," I spoke. We laughed again. My phone goes off and its Casey. I fiddle with my phone wondering if I should answer.

"Don't," Donnie said. "Don't answer it." I hit decline and face him. We sit there again in silence. His phone goes off. He checks it and in the light, I see a green hand.

He answers.
