Another week has passed. Donnie said if I stopped everything with Casey we would still train and workout if I wanted to. I agreed to it but I wanted to follow through with my plans. Or at least try.

It's 6 at night and it's my birthday. The only one that said happy birthday to me was Donnie at 5 this morning. He said we could hang out tonight and that he got me something.

No one else said happy birthday to me.

"Ashley, can you come downstairs?" My mother called. I smiled.

Maybe they were planning a surprise party? I through my covers off and ran downstairs. When I got down all I saw was my mom and my dad. Or maybe not.

"Whats up?" I asked.

"How much was your paycheck this week?" Mum asked. I froze and thought.

"140," I said. "Why?"

"How much do you have left?" She asked.

"Why?" I asked.

"Just tell me." She said.

"98," I said.

"Give it to me." She said

"What no!" I exclaimed. She gave me a death glare.

"I am your mother!" She said. I looked at her.

"Why do you need it?" I asked.

"Because." She said. I knew why. She needed it for her drugs. My dad just stood there. As always. I decided to stand my ground for once.

"No," I said.

"No?" She asked. I nodded. She walked up to me and got in my face. "I gave birth to you. You owe me."

"I don't owe you shit," I said. Then she slapped me. I gasped and looked at her. I slapped her back. She gasped and my dad stepped in.

"You don't hit your mother!" He yelled at me. I stare at him.

"Are you kidding me?" I asked. "She hit me first!" As if on cue she did it again. I grabbed my face. She grabbed my hair and pulled me into the kitchen. She grabbed a knife and pointed it at me.

"Give me the money." She said. It was in my pocket.

"It's upstairs in my nightstand." I lied. She walked up to me and grabbed my arm. I yanked it away.

"Ferris," Mom yelled. Dad walked over and held me.

"Stop. Please mom no." I begged. Dad held me and I screamed as my mom took the knife against my wrist. She always does that as punishment. She made three marks on one arm.

She puts the knife to my face.

"If it's not. The next arm gets the same treatment." She said. Dad still held me.

"Dad, please let me go," I begged him. "Dad please." When he didn't I sighed. I was able to get out of his grasp using a move Donnie taught me. I ran out the door and down the street.

"Get back here!" Mother yelled. I sobbed as I ran down the road. I bumped into Casey but all he said was sorry and left me. That hurt as well.

After a couple of hours, I calmed down. I wanted to call Donnie. Ask if I could spend the night since Rose said no. She already has it bad in her family life. Finally, I give in a call him.

"Hey, Ash. You ready for 9?" He asked.

"Can we make it sooner?" I asked.

"Sure what's wrong?" He asked.

"I don't want to say over the phone," I said.

"Okay. What time?" He asked. I looked at the clock. 7:45. "Now?" He's quite for a while.

"Sure. I'll be there in a bit." He spoke.

"Okay. See you soon." I said.

"See you soon." He said. I hung up. I was already at the spot we agreed upon. It's 8:36 when he shows up. "Sorry, I'm late. My brothers-" he stops. He grabs my arm. "Ash."

"I didn't do it," I said calmly. I look at him.

"Who was it?" He asked.

"My mother," I said. I explained everything to him and had started to cry. He pulled me into a hug.

"I'm so sorry Ash." He said. I didn't say anything. "Wanna stay at my place?"

"How would your brothers feel about that?" I asked him.

"I don't care." He said. He wrapped his arms around me tightly. After 1 month or so we've become close. Like best buds. "I don't want you back in that house." I nodded. "Let's go. It's about time you met them anyway." We left the roof and slowly walked to his house.

He told me to stay put while he ran off. I could overhear his conversation.

"Leo, can I talk to you for a second?" He asked. I fiddle with my thumbs.

"What is it, Donnie?" Leo asked. Donnie walked over to me. He helped me up and we walked to his brother. Leo was wide-eyed.

"Raph, Mikey!" Donnie yelled. He had an arm around me. I was just looking down.

"What is it?" A voice asked. I look up to see the other two. They froze.

"Leo, Raph, Mikey this is Ash. Ash these are my brothers." Donnie said.

"Hi," I said quietly.

"Hi." They all said.

"So your Ash. Casey Ash?" Raph asked. I didn't mean too but I burst into tears. Donnie brought me to his lab.

"Ash its okay," Donnie said.

"No no, it's not." I sobbed. He pulled me into a hug. "I'm done with him, Donnie. I'm done."

"I broke up with April." He said. I froze and looked at him.

"When did that happen?" I asked. He looked at me.

"Yesterday." He said. A tear fell from his eyes. I wiped it away and hugged him tightly. He started to cry as well.
