"Come on, Jimin." Jimin stops repeating the vibrant colours of the tiles in his head and looks up at his mother. She sends him a soft but worried smile as she holds out her hand for him to take. Jimin stares at her hand for a while before slowly taking it into his own and standing up. His legs stumble under him a bit before regaining balance and following his mom. He's learned how to ignores the dizziness he gets when he stands up since he's had it for months now. His mom guides him to a nurse who holds the door open to a back room.

"Your doctor will be here for you in a minute." The nurse closes the door and begins to walk behind the long wood desk waiting to treat another human in trouble. The nurse's smile looks so genuine that Jimin considers it fake.

Jimin glances around the room and notices that the empty walls were actually filled with paintings and quotes. He halts his eyes at one specific picture that's in a small frame being held by a pin that looks like it's going to break any second.

"Kind of looks like you, Jiminie." Jimin looks back at his mother to find her staring at the same photo barely hanging onto the wall. Her smile was a disappointed one and Jimin could understand why. She was so fixated on the small painting on the wall that every now and then she would squint her eyes as if to pick apart the flaws. They both tear their eyes away from the painting and glance towards the door. The doctor knocks on the door softly but loud enough for them to hear and pushes the door ajar. The doctor walks into the room wearing a long white coat and glasses hanging off the bridge of his nose. He bows before taking a seat on a leathered chair and pulling it up in front of the mother and her son.

"Hello, Jimin. Hello, Mrs Park. How are you both doing today?" The doctor asks in a kind tone. Jimin's mother gives a tight nod while Jimin stays silent, drifting his eyes down onto the floor. white. black. orange, white, black. The doctor and Jimin's mom talk about Jimin but he keeps his eyes focused on the coloured tiles. white. black. orange, white, black. Like a calico cat. The doctor looks at Jimin while Jimin lifts his head and glances at the doctor. He glances at his mother before looking back at the doctor and holding eye contact for a while. He drops his eyes down to the doctor's nametag and examines it. Doctor YoungWoo. Jimin sighs.

His mom talks a little bit longer until the doctor cuts her off. "Well, I think I'd like to hear Jimin speak a little more about his past. Jimin? Are you okay with that?" Jimin focuses on the small painting on the wall and nods slowly.

"My parents left me when I was 5," Jimin sits up straighter and coughs before continuing. "I went to an adoption centre and only stayed for 2 hours before being adopted by Ji-Hee." Jimin glances quickly at his mother before continuing. "2 years ago I stopped eating. 1 year ago I started purging. It all added up and now here I am, I guess." Jimin huffs out, crossing his legs.  The doctor hums under his breath before writing it down in his notes. Notes filled with stories from millions of people.

"Well, Jimin. I'd like for you to step on the scale for me." He says standing up and motioning for Jimin to step on. Jimin obeys and starts taking off his shoes. The doctor looks at him and says, "No, you can leave your shoes on," continuing eye contact at Jimin. Jimin stares at him for a few seconds before continuing to pull off his shoes.

No way is he going to leave his shoes on, is this doctor crazy? That's going to at least add 3 extra pounds! Even though Jimin weighed himself this morning he still stumbled around with his laces due to being nervous. Jimin gets his shoes off walking to the scale and stepping on before the doctor telling him to turn around. Jimin huffs and stays in the position he's in.

"I think I can see what I'm doing to my own body, don't you?" Jimin asks in a tense tone. The doctor lifts his eyebrow in amusement before pressing down the weigh button. 78lb. Jimin stares at the number in shock. He was just 77.8lb this morning! Jimin stomps off the scale in frustration.

"Step to the height measure, please." The doctor says moving away from the weight scale to the height measurer.

Jimin steps onto the height measurer blankly. "5'8." The doctor says before writing it down in his notes. Jimin steps away from the measurer and sits back down onto the chair. He slips his shoes back on before leaning back and crossing his arms. "Well, I'd like to admit Jimin right now so I'll call one of the nurse's to collect him while you and I talk." Jimin doesn't move an inch while his mother nods and looks at him. A nurse opens the door and motions for Jimin to follow her with a warm smile. He shoots out of his chair not bothered to say anything to his mother. Jimin follows the nurse as the door shuts behind them making their way down the hall.
