A/N: Okay so this is my personal idea for a story. I'm not sure if anyone else has done this, but I was scrolling through some tags on Instagram and saw a kitty-harry, so I was like "hey why not make a fanfic?" Okay so please don't take my idea ;-; This is my third attempted story, but the first that I'll hopefully keep on my page.

Emily's POV

I wake up, noticing my surroundings. It's dark, lifeless, and cold. I'm surrounded by four walls, but one of the walls were bars. I could hear whimpers and other noises around me, noticing that I was still in the place where I was every day.

I was in The Institute. I have been here since I was born, never knowing my parents personally. All I know is that they were killed shortly after I was born.

This devastated me, but I knew that I couldn't have ever actually had a life with them.

Why?

We were hybrids. Half cat, half human.

The world hated us, and we hated it, honestly. We weren't allowed to be out without our "owner", or we'd be captured and brought back to The Institute.

However, some of us snuck out. We just tucked our tails in an wore hats. We didn't get caught too much, but the difficult part was sneaking out.

We had to get past the guards, security cameras, and everything else that kept hybrids locked away from the rest of the world.

Sometimes, we were even adopted. The hybrids would even try to run away at points, and sometimes even succeeded.

Today, it was finally my day.

I was being adopted. Could I escape?

A few minutes after I awoke, I heard my cage door open. I looked directly at the door, making sure I wasn't smiling.

I couldn't give into it. The so called happiness. That sounds sad, but it's not. I didn't want to be a pet. I didn't want to be called "kitty" and forced to chase a red dot all around a room.

"C'mon. Come out." I heard a rough, deep voice say. I didn't come out for a few moments, but then decided that I didn't want to be abused today.

So I came out of the cage, standing up and facing the man who told me to come out of my cage. I kept my face emotionless, waiting for instructions.

He forcefully turns me around, strapping a collar around my neck. He connects a leash to it, giving me a push as if to signal me to walk. I started to walk, remembering what direction other hybrids went in when they were adopted.

Out the door, through the hall, and..where next?

I glanced back at the man who was behind me, not knowing where to go next. He pushed me towards one of the multiple doors, stepping in front of me and opening it, pulling me inside.

I kept my face emotionless as I saw the people who were adopting me.

There were 5 boys. Wow..boys?

One of them had curly brown hair, and green eyes, sitting in the middle.

Another had black-colored hair that was styled into a high hairdo, sitting next to the first boy.

Then, a boy with feathery brown hair, sitting next to the second boy.

Next, a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, sitting next to the first boy.

And lastly a boy with brown hair, and a built body sitting next to the blonde.

I didn't speak, move, or smile. I just stood there, waiting for the man who brought me here to speak.
