Keith didnt feel up to roaming the castle. Instead he sat down on floor , his back against one of the walls. What he wasn't expecting was for the alternate version of himself to come join him. Keith glanced at him-- or..himself--
"So your Lance Is still in his denial phase?" The other one asked, a slight smile on his face. Keith nodded. "Its a phase?"
"Sure it is. My Lance did the same thing. I thought he'd never realize it. Your rivalry one-sided?"
"Yes. Very. I try getting along with him, but he seems to always find a way to get mad at me..and I argue bak because I'm only assuming thats what he wants. "
"You cant fight fire with fire"
"Huh?"
"Dont give him what he wants, itll only make things worse."
Lance had quickly walked out of the room as everyone else started to get to know their alternate selves, he wanted to go and hang out with Blue, and maybe vent to her for a little while like he always did when he was stressed about something.
Halfway down the hallway he felt a hand grab his shoulder, "hey hold on there hot-shot." Lance was turned around to meet the eyes.. well just eye since the other was blind, of his alternate self. "Alright I won't tell you what you should do since you're like me and won't listen," the alternate Lance started. Lance ended up folding his arms a little and looked down the hallway where he knew Blue was then looked back at his alternate self.
"I just want you to know that you'll probably have to make some hard decisions.. be careful on the ones you chose," he alternate self said which surprised the 'real' Lance since he thought his alternate self sounded kinda smart.
"Look I'm tired and I just want to be alone for a little while.." Lance said before quickly walking down the hallway again.
Keith watched the other get up and leave. He might've been going to look for his Lance, but he couldn't be sure. It was so weird knowing that the person who hated him the most in his reality loved him more than anything else in this reality. He never hated Lance in particular. He only wanted to get closer to him, even if it was just as friends. But he'd never felt that way before considering how he always pushed everyone else out of his life. Maybe if he did everything Lance wanted he could finally-- no..his alternate self told him to do the opposite. But being passive toward it...ah..
Keith stood and went to find someone to talk with. Someone who wouldn't mention Lance related subjects if he didn't want to. Shiro, most likely. But he seemed busy so he sat back down in the corner, clutching his knees.
Lance hid himself inside of Blue and started to pace around the smallish control room, she had always brought a sense of security to him. He wasn't pressed to sort out his personal shit when he was there, it was a place he could relax a little. He wanted to be strong and admired like Keith, not be infatuated with him. Then there was the alternate reality people shoving it in his face that he felt otherwise, and he couldn't handle it. He wouldn't admit anything. He had been trying so hard to convince everyone that Keith was his rival that he himself had started to believe it too.
The two Pidges went to the mainframe to go see if they could start up any of the engines, which they doubted was possible but they could at least check it out together and bounce ideas off.
The alternate Lance walked back into the room where the two Keith's were and shrugged helplessly at the alternate Keith, "I don't know if I got to him," he admitted to his lover.
The alternate Keith chuckled. "Don't bother with him. He'll figure it out eventually." He said rather carelessly, waving his hand in the air. " after all, that's what I did to you" He kept glancing over at the other Keith, wondering if he'd be okay by himself. He could tell he was watching Shiro--whichever one-- to wait until he was free to talk to.
"Oh by the way, babe, did you ever get those handcuffs out of the blue lion? They weren't in the room when I looked."
The alternate Lance's eyes lit up for a moment and then he grinned, "maaaybe, wanna go help me find them~?" he asked while he started to grab the alternate Keith's arm, pulling him to the door.
Keith got up and joined both Shiros at the control panel, listening in and waiting for the right moment to say something. Fortunately, he didn't have to. They both stopped talking, taking notice of his presence.
"Yes, Keith?" They said in unision. He almost laughed, but held it back.
"We have our lions, can't we just go chase down the thieves for them? Or maybe I could bring someone from this reality with me to their...Black Market...to get what they need for the ship." He was almost desperate to help out to clear his mind from the events from only a few minutes ago. Maybe Lance was doing that too.The regular Shiro looked at the other Shiro, "you know we could always kill two birds with one stone. Pidge could track the coordinates and we could send out a team to go after them, then with the remaining few they can go to the Black Market," he suggested while the other Shiro shook his head and sighed.
"I'm afraid that won't work, we'll probably need everyone to get the Red Lion back. Even if we didn't the Black Market is too shady to send only a few in at a time," he said while the real Shiro nodded.
"I don't know if we should leave Allura and Coran on their own.." the real Shiro added making the other one chuckle a little.
"She may look a little more worn, but she's perfectly capable of taking care of herself. We should go round the others and tell them the plan."
The real Shiro looked back at Keith, "we should probably leave right away, I don't know how far out the Galra thieves could have gotten," he said while turning on his communicator and started to contact the others.
It didn't take long for everyone to file into the Lions, the alternate paladins looked like they were excited to finally be able to go on a mission again. Of course the alternate Keith had to go in the alternate Lance's lion because he didn't have his Lion.
Alternate Keith looked around the inside of the blue lion and bent over to pick up the pair of handcuffs. "Oh. There they are" he said in a flat tone. He then started swinging them around like a child and wrapped his arms around Lance, who was sitting in his chair. "You wanna play with them later?~" He teased in his best seductive tone.
The Alternate Lance had been sulking slightly about the fact he never got his alone time with his Keith, but he perked up a little when the alternate Keith mentioned something about using them later. "I think that sounds like a plan~" he purred with a smirk.
Keith got into the red lion. It was kinda crazy to him that they had 9 lions at the moment. They most likely wouldn't even have to fight the galra who took the other red lion. They'd be too terrified to even attempt fighting 9 ships at once.
"Waiting for your orders, Shiro"
Unfortunately for everyone, Pidge had linked all 9 of the Lion's communicators together. Making the real Lance utterly miserable as he heard the alternate Lance and Keith talk dirty to each other, but he couldn't help but wonder what was going through Keith's head at the moment.
"Pidge send the coordinates of their Red Lion to everyone," he said and soon the coordinates to the Red Lion were pulled up to everyone else's dash. "Alright everyone, follow the coordinates and try not to get sidetracked," he said while taking the lead towards their, now set, destination.
