I love him. I love him. I love him.
At least I think I do.
Is he worth it? Of course he is. He is beautiful in both mind and body, he is strong, he is blinding to look at for long, he has a sharp mind with classic wit, he is absolutely and undeniably perfect in every way you try to put it.
But, the real question here is, does he love me back?
I know he says he is mine, and I his. But we have never labeled ourselves, which is fine by me, labels are only there to give people satisfaction over the fact that they have some sort of "property" of their own account. But since we have never entertained the idea of being called 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend', does that make us more vulnerable to falling apart? Will the lack of bonding words overpower the love we have? Should we have a point in this relationship where we say 'yes, you are my boyfriend/girlfriend'?
I think that labels are not needed, but are they? I think our relationship is just understood. Everyone knows what we are, no need for trivial pet names. But, in the act of not calling one another these names, are we not reaching the next level? Is there a next level? Does calling one another yours bring on a whole new meaning in the relationship, or is it just the same with or without?
If you got married to someone, and did not call them your husband when you introduced him, would they just presume you're married or would they think its strange that you know you two are shared by each others souls, with or without pet names?
I know one day the world will end, and all our labors will mean nothing for it has all turned to dust, but for now, I want something deeper that I can rely on until the world ends, I want to feel secure, but I do not want to lose the ability to walk on my own. Will calling him my boyfriend be the thing that will give me what I'm searching for, or will I still feel the same when I sneak into his arms?
