The bumping in the hallway was different, because my only neighbor was old Mr. Henderson, who never left his flat. Niall heard it too because both our heads snapped towards the door.
When it continued, I decided I should get up and look incase someone was getting raped or something. I opened the front door, looking to my right and seeing nothing except an empty Mtn Dew bottle on the floor, next to the trash bin.
To my left was a different story. Down the hall a few doors was three men lifting a bed frame into the tiny doorway, surrounded by many boxes and a few people moving them. I realized someone was moving in, and I tensed, remembering how Niall is.
I hope he'll behave around whoever it is, at least he leaves Mr. Henderson alone, poor man. But at first, I couldn't figure out who was moving in, and they all looked over the age of 30, which no one ever moved in around that generation.
Niall must have realized I was staring at something because he joined me in the doorway, staring at the commotion outside. His lips parted slightly, and he breathed in slowly.
"I wonder who it is." He blankly stated. I nodded in agreement and heard a girl's voice.
"Put that in the kitchen!" she said when they started carrying a table. I figured she was the one moving in, and when she came into view, I gasped silently, seeing she was my age, or about that.
Niall saw her too because he actually spoke.
"Woah." was all he said, running his hands through his hair.
"Hey!" I said, stepping out of the doorway, and catching the new girl's attention. She scrunched her eye brows together for a second, before smiling widely, and I realized her teeth are really pretty.
"Need any help?" I asked, whit an obvious answer. I picked up a nearby box she pointed to. I laughed and walked up towards her front door.
"Living room please." She said. I nodded and set the light box down.
"Tristan." I said, holding out my hand. She took it in her own, giggling a little. Everything about her was perfect. She even had an American accent.
"Carly." she stated. She had bright finger hair, a few freckles, and was about the same height as me. Her eyes were bright, even with a brown.
Her legs were toothpicks, but athletic ones, and they looked much better than my own. Needless to say, I was a little jealous of how perfect she was.
When I heard a knock on the door frame, I whipped around and saw a cheeky Niall peeking his head into the room.
"Sorry, that's my-" I started.
"Niall." he said, holding out his hand and her taking it in her own. My mouth dropped open from him interrupting me so rudely.
"Carly." she said again. Her lips formed a perfect heart when she wasn't talking and her dimples were extremely deep.
"I'm her roommate, down the hall." he said, throwing me a glance at the word 'roommate'. I was frozen in place, especially at the fact Niall just denied everything I thought he thought about me. Did the kisses mean nothing?
I frowned when they began a conversation, and Niall wouldn't take her eyes off her, and it only proved my point if her being perfect even more. I scoffed silently and walked out of the room, ready to get out. I heard footsteps behind me, and for a second I thought it was going to be Niall.
I turned around a little too excited, and then sighed when I saw Carly. She was walking after me, her mouth parted.
"I have nothing to do tonight, would you like to stay and watch a movie?" she asked, catching up to me. I pondered the offer for a second, before throwing my thoughts out the window, and nodding. She wasn't bad at all, but I was pissed at Niall right now.
"Awesome. How about you come back over at 7 and we'll watch some movies?" she asked and I nodded again, and stepped inside my apartment, realizing Niall was staying over there I guess. Good, I needed to cool down.
I slammed the door behind me and stomped to the bedroom, upset to why Niall was doing this. First he kisses me, then I kiss him back, and now he acts like I don't even exist?! He is being such an arsehole, I don't know what to do. I guess I'll just wait until the movies begin.
-------
I ended up taking a nap and showering before the little party, and Niall never came home once. I put on my Nirvana tee, skinny jeans, and my Keds before braiding my hair and grabbing my phone and keys.
I walked up to her door, and stopped before knocking when I heard maniac laughing behind it. I instantly recognized Niall's, and I guessed the other was Carly's. I grinded my teeth and knocked, and the stopped immediately.
The door was opened a few seconds later, and Carly let me in, before flopping down on the couch next to Niall. I sighed and fake smiled and sat beside Niall on the other side, but against the chair arm so I was a ways away. Those two barely knew each other five hours and they were already cuddling up together and giggling like they were a couple.
For god's sake he probably kissed her too.
Carly jumped when the doorbell rang, and Niall laughed and let her stand after she fought to get up.She opened the door and came back with two boxes of pizza and a soda. I was starving, too, but I refrained from getting more than a single slice.
Niall grabbed a couple and Carly grabbed two also, and they sat back on the couch as she chose a movie. Her choice fell upon Divergent and I actually liked this movie. Maybe this thing wouldn't be so bad.
I eat slowly, and halfway through the movie, I was only done with about half my pizza. By slow, I mean tortoise on slow-motion.
I took a bite and my eyes found the two sitting against each other on the other side of the couch. I pulled my phone out and turned down the brightness before opening it and looking a text from my cousin, Aubrey. She was the only family me never that cared about me, and I texted her often, and she knew about Niall as my roommate, but not a demon.
I text ed her back and noticed Niall staring over at me.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Don't you think that's kind of rude?" He snapped at me. My mouth dropped and I couldn't move, once again. I looked them over and saw what I never wanted to see. Niall's hand gripped on to Carly's, their fingers intertwined. I felt like gagging.
It had only been five fucking hours and they were already all over each other! I couldn't take my eyes off it and Carly paused the movie.
"I don't think I'm the one being rude." I said, standing and grabbing my keys and death glaring him, anger boiling over me. I saw his eyes soften and I whipped around, leaving that second. I reached our flat and felt like fainting.
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I turned around and locked the door behind me. I only are half my one piece of pizza, yet I couldn't feel more sick to my stomach.
