Kalani sat on her couch watching TV with Sarai and Isaac. Demi had taken Oliver with she and Harmony to baby class. "Do you know who broke into your house?" Sarai asked. Kalani nodded, turning down the TV a bit.
"Yeah, he was my ex-rapist, then lover, then rapist again. It's complicated." Kalani said.
"Wow that sounds like Rodney." She said. Hearing his name come out of her sisters mouth was freighting.
"How do you know his name?" Kalani asked, turning her full attention to Sarai.
"Adelaine's old drug dealer was named Rodney. Could he be the same guy?" Sarai asked. Isaac just looked in between them confused.
"Probably not." Kalani tried to reassure them. "Where are Yasmin and Mallory? Dad was supposed to be here twenty minutes ago." Sarai shrugged, and went back to watching TV, forcing Kalani to end the conversation.
"Daddy where are we going?" Yasmin asked in a scared whisper. She sat in the back of an SUV. Joe shrugged, and told her to stay quiet. "Daddy, are you gonna kill me?" Yasmin asked. Joe shook his head.
"I would never kill you. Someone wants to see you one last time." Joe tried to sound manly and strong for Yasmin.
"Great. I'm gonna die. If they kill me, mommy will kill you." She said, scared out of her mind.
"Don't talk like that. If there is someone I'm afraid of it's mom. And mom is a very scary woman that I would love to go home to, and if I go home with out you, I'm dead. So either way it's not good for me if this goes south." Joe said. Mallory and Yasmin nodded. Demi is very scary when she's mad, but they would rather have that than this. Joe's phone rang, but he couldn't answer. "Yasmin, can you grab daddy's phone." Joe whispered.
"It's mommy." Yasmin panic yelled. Joe hit a button on the phone and it stopped buzzing.
"We don't want to make mommy mad right now." Joe said. Yasmin and Mallory nodded, sitting back and sighing.
Landon and Adelaine were on there way to New York to be with Demi during her interviews and concerts. At the hotel, Demi was sitting in her hotel room alone, and in tears. "Mommy what's wrong?" Landon asked, setting Paisley in Adelaine's arms.
"She's gone." Demi whispered. Only Adelaine knew what that meant.
"Oh mommy I'm so sorry." She said. Landon snapped out her hip, and folded her arms.
"What does that mean? What does she mean? Who's gone?" Landon asked.
"Mom had miscarriage!" Adelaine snapped. Landon took a couple of steps back, and leaned against the window seal.
"Mom why didn't you say anything?" Landon asked. "Why didn't you tell daddy, or me or Kali?" Landon asked. Demi gave her a guilty look. "Oh my god. OH MY GOD!!! YOU TOLD EVERYONE BUT ME!" Landon screamed. Demi rolled her eyes and got up.
"This isn't about you!" Demi groaned.
"You're right! It's about me feeling like I'm out of place again. It's bad enough I'm the only one in the family that wasn't adopted. Do you know how it feels to be left out of a family that claims they love you, then lies to you! Ugh, I'm so done with you and everyone else! Say goodbye to your grandchild, because you and everyone else will NEVER see her again!" Landon said, before leaving the room.
"I told you she would be pissed." Adelaine said, going after her. Demi sighed, now feeling worse than she did before they came over.
Landon sat in the airport about to get on her flight to Texas, when the one person that could make her stay came running down the walkway. "Lani!" He called.
"Taylor?" Landon said, standing up. Taylor ran up to her, and pulled her into a passionate kiss.
"Lani, don't go! I need you and Paisley! We can move out of your sisters place, and we can get our own place. Please baby." Paisley started to cry, and reached for Taylor.
"No, never again will I let them trick me into thinking they love me." Landon said.
"Fine. Cut all ties to them and live with me." Taylor suggested. Landon nodded, and kissed him. She picked up Paisleys car seat and passed it to Taylor.
"Let's take this family home." Landon smiled.
"No! Please! Daddy!" Mallory screamed. The man came in to room and shut the door. A scream was heard and then silence. After an hour the man emerged from the room.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered to himself, leaving the 9 year old tucked in her bed.
