*Episode 21*
Demi walked around the kitchen singing to Harmony to calm her down. She was 22 days old, and very loud. Demi was interrupted, when Kalani and Jake came up the stairs. "You are an asshole!" Kalani yelled.
"You're a bitch!" Jake retaliated.
"If you hate me, and being here so much then LEAVE!" Kalani yelled. Jake slammed his hands on the counter.
"Maybe I will!" He said. Jake grabbed his jacket and walked out the house. To Demi's surprise Harmony slept through that. Kalani sulked on the couch and started to cry. Demi put her baby in the bouncer, and sat next to Kalani.
"What just happened?" Demi asked. Kalani shook her head, and laid it on Demi's shoulder.
"Jake and I are not working out." She said.
"Well you better be. Cause you have that baby on the way." Demi said, pointing to Kalani's stomach.
"I know, but I feel like this gonna be Isaac all over again. I'm okay with having these boys alone, that's not the problem. The problem is that I'm in love with Jake." Kalani poured her heart out to Demi.
"Well give it some time. Maybe you guys need some time apart." Demi suggested.
"I guess." Kalani said, getting up and going back to her son.
Landon sat in her room on her iMac when Joe came in and closed the door. "Hey." He said. She smiled up at him, and looked back at her screen.
"Hey. Look at this." Landon said, showing him the picture she took of Demi and Harmony over the months. "I want to put this into something for her birthday, since she is turning 28." Landon said. Joe nodded.
"That's cute." Joe said, pointing to the picture of Demi in a white sundress, and brown heels, cradling Harmony in a similar outfit. They quickly closed it when Demi came in the room.
"What are you looking at?" Demi said quickly.
"Nothing!" Landon responded. Joe bit his lip, and walked to the door.
"Why is the door closed?" Demi asked Joe.
"Because it was a private conversation." He snarked. Demi glared at him, and walked away with the baby. "Babe? Babe are you jealous?" Joe asked following her. Demi turned around with a quickness at the sound of the word jealous.
"Jealous? Am I jealous? Of what? My 18 year old daughter. You have to be on hard drugs to think I would ever be jealous of her with MY man." Demi said, putting Harmony on the bed in between some pillows just in case she rolled over.
"Okay. I'm sorry. I just needed to talk to Landon in private okay." Joe fixed his statement from the doorway. Demi stood straight up and kissed Joe.
"I know. I'm just hormonal still. Can you go to the store for me?" Demi asked. Joe raised an eyebrow.
"Girl, you ain't pregnant no more." Joe said. Demi gave her famous 'what' face, making Joe try not to smile.
"Like I said. Got to the store for me." Demi reiterated into a statement. Joe rolled his eyes and grabbed his keys.
"What do you want?" He asked walking to the door.
"I have already texted you the list." Demi said sitting in the bed.
"Demi I'm not buying you tampons." Joe whined. "It's not manly." He said.
"Well, unless you want me to bleed everywhere from having your child, I suggest you buy them." Demi said. Joe sighed and left the room. He headed towards Yasmin's.
"Yas-bear!" He called. She was sitting on the bed playing with her AG dolls. She looked up at him with tired eyes.
"Yes daddy?" she laid her doll on the bed to pay attention to him.
"You want to go to the store with daddy?" Joe asked. Yasmin smiled, and got off the bed. "And if your good we can go get Sweet Frog, but you can't tell mommy." Joe smiled. Yasmin jumped up into Joes arms, and he took her down to the cars.
"Daddy can we take the Mustang?" Yasmin asked. Joe nodded, and grabbed the spare car seat.
"Are you ready?" Joe asked, looking in the rear view mirror to see if she was strapped in. Yasmin nodded, and they took off.
In the Lovato house Kalani was getting Isaac ready to go to Demi's Parents for a cookout. "Mom!" Kalani said in the intercom.
"Yeah babe." Demi answered.
"Is Landon ready to go?" She asked. Demi went to check and came back.
"Yeah, do you want me to send her down?" She asked.
"Yeah. I need to ask her something." Kalani replied. Not even a minute later Landon came down the stairs.
"Mom said you wanted to talk." Landon said, sitting on the bed next to Isaacs head.
"Yeah. I was apartment hunting, and I found a 4 bedroom apartment that was affordable with the job I have and the job you have. Do you want to move in with me?" Kalani asked sitting in the chair a tossed from the bed.
"You, me, Jake, and Taylor?" She asked. Kalani nodded. "Uh, of course!"Landon beamed. "But what about mom and Joe?" she asked.
"What about them? They have Yasmin and Harmony. Plus, it's not that far. It's like 15 minutes away." Kalani pitched.
"Have you talked to mom about it?" Landon asked. Kalani shook her head.
"No,"
"Kalani. She is going to flip."
"No, BUT I want to ask her tonight." Kalani finished.
"Fine, I hope she says yes though." Landon said getting up.
"Let's go sister." Kalani high fived Landon and went up stairs with her sister and son.
On the beach, Joe and Yasmin sat eating Sweet Frog, and laughing. "Do you like spending time with Daddy?" Joe asked. Yasmin nodded, and finished her ice cream fast.
"Daddy? Are you a nice guy?" She asked.
"I think I am. Why?" He asked.
"Because, my old daddy hitted me, and my baby brother. But he said he was nice." Yasmin answered.
"Mommy, and I would never hit you. Wait you have a brother?" Joe backtracked.
"Yeah, his name is Jordan." She said.
"Where is Jordan?" Joe asked, finishing his ice cream.
"He is with Corinne." She answered. Joe looked down into his lap trying to stop his tears. "Was she your daughter too?" Yasmin asked. Joe nodded.
"I was there when she was born." Joe said. Yasmin wiped her hand across Joes cheek to clear the tears.
"It's okay. Mommy cried too." Yasmin smiled. Suddenly Joes phone rang.
"Joseph get your ass to my parents right now!" Demi yelled through the phone, then hanging up. Joe suddenly got that panicky sweat on his chest. The last time Demi said that it was about Corrine. He stood up and threw Yasmin over her shoulder.
"What's wrong daddy?" Yasmin asked, just as panicked as Joe.
"I don't know, but Mommy needs us." He said. As soon as he got to the house he saw that everyone was fine, and calmed his nerves.
"Mommy are you okay?" Yasmin asked, as Joe followed her to the backyard. Demi gave her a strange look.
"Yeah Babe. Why wouldn't I be?" Demi asked, holding Harmony.
"Because Daddy got all scared, and got stopped by the police two times!" Yasmin explained, throwing her hands everywhere for full effect.
"I thought we agreed that we don't tell mommy what happens on Daddy&Yassi Dates." Joe said threw his teeth. Yasmin shrugged and looked at him.
"At least I didn't tell her about the ice cream." She said a little too loud. Joe slap his forehead as Demi got a pissed look on her face.
"Ice cream Jonas really?" Demi started to fuss at Joe as Yasmin walked away to find her sisters.
"I'm tired of your bullshit!" Kalani yelled, making Yasmin stop, backtrack, and looked into the room. "I'm tired of you always doing this to me. Never again. When we get home get your stuff and get the hell out!" Kalani stormed past Yasmin, making Yasmin walk into the room.
"Get the hell out!" Jake yelled at her. Landon heard and walked into the room, standing I front of Yasmin. "Don't talk to her like that jack-ass. Yasmin go to mom and dad." Landon instructed. Yasmin did as she was told, and left the room.
"You need to leave too." Jake snapped at Landon. She snapped her hip out and folded her arms over her chest.
"Why, so you can get high and try to sleep with my sister?" Landon yelled. Jake got pissed. Not at what she said, but at how much truth was in it.
"I'm not a low down dirty whore who slept with her dad just to get pregnant, and leave." Jake smirked. Landon acted like it didn't phase her, and came back quick.
"Oh really. Well at least, I'm not the alcoholic, crack head who gets high to sleep with my sister, and if doesn't get what he wants beats her and has sex with a random girl." Landon said. Jake stepped to her, and slapped her hard and fast. Suddenly, Joe tackled Jake with a quickness, and Demi held Landon as she cried out of pain. Eddie ran to Joe and grabbed him off of Jake before Joe killed him.
"Get your scrawny ass out of here. I never what to see your face around my daughters, fiancé, or my house." Joe spat in his face. Jake scrambled to his feet and sprinted out of the house. Eddie let go of Joe and fixed his eyes on Demi, Landon, Kalani, and Yasmin. "I'm so-"
"Your my hero Daddy!" Yasmin yelled, jumping into Joes arms.
"Thanks dad!" The twins said together. Demi came into the group hug and kissed Joes cheek.
"Thank you Manly." She whispered in his ear. Eddie cleared his throat, making the entire Lovato, De La Garza, Jonas clan look at him.
"Did I hear Fiancé?" He asked. Every smiled and laughed, leaving the room. He stood still, and serious, as everyone except Jemi left the room. "Seriously?" Eddie asked. Demi patted his shoulder, as she started to leave as well.
"I'm a grown woman daddy. You have to let me go sooner or later." She sang, fully leaving Eddie and Joe alone. Joe gave an awkward smile, and ran out to the backyard with Eddie close behind.
