Miss Relapse

Demi sat on the floor in her room, playing with Jackson and Harmony, waiting for Joe to get back. As she was playing with the blocks, he looked in her lap to see Harmoy had fallen asleep. With a chuckle, Demi placed Hamony in the center of the bed with pillows around her. "Daddy?" Jackson said, as Joe snuck up behind Demi.

"Daddy isn't here yet." Demi said about to sit back down on the floor with him. Jackson shook his head and pointed past Demi. Before she could turn around, Joe clasped his hand over mouth.

"Did you miss me?" He whispered in her ear. Quickly a pain shot through his hand, as she smirked. "Did you bite me?" Joe said, holding the throbbing area on his hand. She nodded, and smiled proudly.

"Well, you scared me, so you deserved it." Demi justified. Joe shrugged, and gave her a proper hug. Jckson ran out of the room, not wanting to see them kiss. "Now, that he is gone..." Demi smirked, knowing Joe would get excited. Joe sat on the bed, as Demi straddled him. "How did everything go?" Demi asked. Joe sighed.

"Did you do all this to ask that?" Joe asked, sexually disappointed. Demi nodded. Joe shrugged.

"She had Syphilis. They gave her a shot for it, but we have to take her back to the hospital one more time to make sure it's all gone." Joe explained. Demi nodded, kissed his jaw line.

"You didn't exactly think I would have sex with you while our daughter is right behind you, did you?" Asked Demi, getting up, and going to the bathroom. Joe shook his head and went to the dresser to change into his comfotable clothes. As he was grabbing his sweat pants he accidently swiped a not off the table top, but purposely read it.

Joe looked hard at the note. When Demi came out of the bathroom Joe threw the note on the bed. "Demi, what the hell is that?" Joe said, pointing at the note.

"It's nothing. I promise. He took me to lunch, as a celebration of my sobriety. Seeing as since you were gone when I hit 7 years sober. I wanted to celebrate with someone who would actually understand better than baby or 2 year old. And-" Demi got cut off by Joe and picked up the note.

"Then call Selena! But this," He snatched the note from Demi's hand, "should NEVER happen! I'm your husband. Im the only man other than Eddie who you should be celebrating with." Joe threw the note back at her and headed for the bedroom door.

"Where are you going?" Demi called. Joe stopped, but didn't turn around.

"I'm going to the man cave, and I expect you NOT to follow me." Joe stressed not, before closing the door. Demi shook her head, and kissed Harmony's cheek.

"You're not mad at me to are you?" Demi asked. Harmony started to stir, and then cry. Demi shook her head. "I know, I hate me too." Demi said, carrying her to change her diaper, and be mommy.

Joe sat in his man cave alone, in the dark. "Am I not fucking good enough anymore?" He asked himself. "What does Niall have that if don't?" Joe said. He shook off the thought, and went back to staring at a picture of he and Demi kissing on the beach.
"Life got you down?" A woman's voice asked, coming in the room.
"What do you want Kali, I'm busy." Joe said, trying to get her to leave him alone.
"If you're upset now, wait until you hear that I'm still driving around without a license." She said, sitting on the empty bar.
"What?" Joe almost screamed, sitting up really fast. Kalani nodded with a wide smile.
"Do you wanna take me to get my license?" She very hopefully asked. Joe shrugged and got out of his big, comfortable chair.
"Let's go. I could use a pick me up." He said. Kalani grinned, and hopped off the counter. Running up the steps she ran into Demi. Literally.
"Oh, sorry mom. But, hey, since I have your attention can you watch my boys while I go get my license?" She asked. Demi sighed. As she saw Joe come up the stairs, she started to internally pray we would talk to her.
"I'll be in the car." Joe said, bypassing her all together. Demi bit her lip, and looked back at Kalani.
"Yeah, go have fun with Daddy. I'll be here when you get back." Demi said, with a hint of sadness in her tone. Kalani have her a sorry look, and kissed her cheek.
"In time he will talk." She said, before heading to her jeep.

On Kalani and Joe's way home, Kalani was legally driving, and had a legit question. "What did mom do to piss you off to the point of silence?" She asked. Joe shook his head.
"Don't worry about it." Joe said. Kalani pulled over on the side of the highway, and parked the car.
"No Joe. That is my mother we are talking about. I want answers and I want the NOW!" Kalani said sternly. Joe sighed.
"Fine. You want answers. Ask your mom why she celebrated her 7 years with Niall on a solo date, and not wait until I got back." Joe answered. Kalani gave him a weird look.
"What are you talking about? Mommy didn't go on a solo date with Niall. He took us out to Urth Cafe for lunch. Us as in Landon, Addy, Mallory, Sarai, and I. She didn't want you to get mad, so she told me and the other girls to go with her. I'm sure if you listened, she would have told you that." Kalani said. Joe looked speechless.
"Kali, I'm-"
"Save it. Now you've pissed me off." Kalani said, getting back on the road and taking them home. Once, at the house Kalani stayed in the drivers seat. She called someone.
"Hello?" They said. Kalani sighed.
"Daddy, is gonna try and apologize, but come out to the jeep, and bring the boys with you." Kalani said, before hanging up. She got out, with her back leaning against the passengers side. Demi came out with Oliver on her hip, and Isaac running ahead to Kalani.
"MOMMY!" Isaac called.
"ISAAC!" Kalani mocked him, kneeling to his height, and picking him up. "Did you have fun with Nona?" Kalani asked. Isaac nodded. Oliver was asleep in Demi's arms. "What happened to that one?" Kalani asked.
"He fell asleep, while Isaac was painting him a picture." Demi explained. Kalani smiled, and kissed Isaacs cheek.
"I love you son, but we have to get you in the car, and go see daddy." She said. Demi shifted Oliver to the otherside.
"You gonna go see James?" Demi asked, putting Oliver in his car seat. Kalani nodded, putting Isaac in the other one.
"Yeah. I owe him a huge apology, and I really want him back." Kalani said, closing the door, and going to her side.
"Have fun with that. Now, I have to go win back my man." Demi smiled, going back to the house. Kalani rolled down the passengers window and yelled hot Demi.
"Mom!"
"Yeah!". Demi responded, before going in the house.
"It won't be that hard to get him back." Kalani smiled. Demi nodded, and turned to got back in the house. Kalani's smile instantly faded, seeing three small red lines going down Demi's arm. Isaac could see the pain on Kalani's face.
"What's wrong mommy?" He asked, in his cute, little man voice.
"Nona is in trouble." Kalani said in a sing-songy way. 'Kalani calm down. Don't jump to conclusions. Maybe, she just got hurt playing with the boys. Oh, who are you kidding those, are three perfect lines. Mom relapsed. Fuck, there goes seven years.' Kalani thought. She shook off the thought, and started her way to James' house.
