Chapter 31

20 weeks later,  Y/n has been feeling getting tired easily as she got later into her pregnancy. She did some research and found out that the gender of their baby could be revealed 18-21 weeks after finding out about the pregnancy. Soon realizing she was more than 18 weeks into her pregnancy, she finally asked Jungkook to accompany her to the doctor. Being as excited as his wife, Jungkook drove to the hospital after finally getting an appointment with Y/n's doctor, Mrs.Lee. Reaching the hospital's parking lot, they got out of the car and made their way up to the 17th floor. 

They stepped into the miniature lounge area and checked in with the receptionist, Jungkook made his wife take a seat to ensure she wouldn't get tired. They waited for around 20 minutes before they were finally called in. "Annyeonghaseyo" they greeted each other, bowing to show respect. "So Mrs.Jeon, I assume you are here to find out the gender of your little one?" she smiled, Y/n nodded, mirroring the smile on the doctors face. "Alright, may I request you to lie down here." She said, standing up and tapped a bed that was stationed right next to a wall with a beautiful painting on it. 

Jungkook helped his wife up onto the bed and waited patiently beside her, taking her hand in his.  The doctor opened a drawer and pulled out a container filled with gel, putting on gloves before putting some on her hands then she directed her attention to Y/n. "Alright, this may be a little cold but don't worry it's normal." She nodded, giving Jungkook's hand a tiny squeeze. She then applied the gel to which Y/n visibly flinched at the sudden coldness the doctor warned her about. Her husband gave out a small laugh making Y/n smile at his cuteness.

The doctor evenly spread the gel around her stomach which was visibly bigger than her stomach before. Jungkook smiled at the sight of the stomach, as the weeks went by after finding out she was pregnant, he couldn't keep his hands to himself. He always felt the need to caress and give attention to his little on who was growing in his princess' stomach. Y/n saw the wide smile that spread across his baby-like face and squeezed his hand, taking him back to reality. While those two were having their own moment, silently conversing with their eyes, Mrs.Lee had already taken note of the child's gender, soon wiping off the gel. 

She soon got the attention of the couple by simply smiling at them, "Mrs. and Mr. Jeon, would you like to hear the heartbeat of your child?" They both nodded their head, shifting their gaze off from one another and onto the monitor which displayed the picture of their own child. Mrs.Lee used the machine and once again put it on Y/n's stomach, soon enough the silent room was filled with the soft beat of a heartbeat. The couple's eyes both watered at the melodious sound, tightening the grip on each other's hands, looking at each other in the eyes. "He's very healthy." She said, looking at their faces to see their reactions. 

Hearing the first word, Y/n whipped her head in the direction of the doctor, widening her eyes. "It's a boy?!" she said excitedly, Jungkook soon caught onto their conversation, still in shock and in tears. "It's a boy." the doctor confirmed, smiling widely at them.
