The Hecatonchires were extremely large and incredibly strong giants, each having one hundred arms and fifty heads.

These three monsters were the offspring of Gaia and Uranus. They were named Briareus, Cottus and Gyges.

They were so overwhelmingly hideous, that at birth their father Uranus tried to push them back into their mother's womb.

This attempt failed so they were banished into the depths of Tartarus and guarded by the creature Campe.

Eventually, Gaia was able to convince Zeus that these creatures could serve as great allies in their fight against the Titans, so he rescued them.

The Titans were also children of Uranus and Gaia, making this the ultimate sibling feud.

The three deformed giants were able to greatly aide in this supreme battle of angry relatives. They would use their many limbs to throw hundreds of huge rocks at a time - eventually overwhelming the Titans.
