Tenth Beat

They stopped in front of a tall building.

"Are we gonna jump from that building?" Maine asked, alarmed.

He chuckled. "No, but we're going to the top though."

"Good morning Mr. Faulkerson," the receptionist greeted him.

Holy crap, Maine thought.

"Good morning, Jenna," Richard held  Maine's hand and proceeded to the elevator.

"Does this building belong to you?"

"No," Richard replied. "It's Papa's."

"You didn't tell me you were a big shot," Maine teased.

"I didn't feel the need to do so," he replied. "Besides, it's not me who's rich. My dad is."

She didn't reply and just smiled.

A few minutes later, they arrived to the top of the building.

"Ano bang gagawin natin?" she asked again.

"You'll see," he replied and gave her the sweetest smile.

Richard opened a door for her and she was immediately blinded by the sun's light.

Then, a noise of a helicopter followed.

"Let's go!" Richard shouted, protecting his face from the dust being blown by the strong wind.

"We're riding that?!" Maine pointed at the helicopter.

Richard nodded. "I'm gonna show you something incredible!"

If there was one thing Maine could say about Richard, it was...he's not so boring after all.

They just rode a helicopter, got dropped off in an island where there was a party going on, and got picked up again by the same helicopter.

Tell me something cooler than that!

It was 8pm and they were infront of the bar.

"That was the most fun day I've ever had, Richard. Thank you," she smiled at him sincerely.

"I'm glad you liked it, Maine," he replied.

"Sure ka bang dito ka na lang? I can drop you off at your place."

"No na...I can manage. Besides, J needs help pa for something."

"Ah...okay," silence enveloped them for a while.

"Can we do this again?" he asked.

Next week ka na please. I need time with my babies, Maine thought.

"Well...it's gonna be a little busy at the bar this time of year. But I think I have a free time next...next week," she answered.

"Oh. Okay..uhm..would it still be okay if I come here every friday night?"

"Sure!"

"Okay...I should go," Richard said. "Thank you for the fun day, Maine."

"I should be thanking you," Maine answered. "I mean, we just rode a helicopter for Christ's sake!" They laughed.

"You're gonna get more of that if you become mine," he teased.

Okay, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. I just came with you 'coz I took your virginity and I feel guilty about it, Maine sain in her mind.

She let out an awkward laugh. "I'll go in now. I just heard J call me."

"Okay. See you friday night?"

"Yes, see you," she gave him a buss on the cheek.
