TWO — OUT OF TIME

THE BATTLE AT Wakanda had so far been eventful. It seemed as if you all were losing. Many lives were lost, you and Vision were attacked at Shuri's lab, Vision is barely able to walk on his two legs, and you were at one of your weakest points after fighting one of Thanos' children to prevent Vision from getting killed.

You had finally reunited with Vision. You stared into each other's eyes as the wind around you all picked up.

"Everyone get to my coordinates right now," Steve spoke behind you two. "There's something happening."

You and Steve shared a look for a moment before you felt Vision grab your face. He lightly turned your head to face his.

"[Y/N] we are out of time," Vision whispered. You stared into his eyes as tears pooled around your eye lids. Your lips trembled as your heart started to pick up. You knew exactly what Vision meant. He was going to sacrifice himself in order to save the universe.

Suddenly, a hole formed in the distance. A purple Titan emerged from the blue vortex looking determined. Your eyes widened as the Titan looked over at you and Vision with a smirk. You shook your head and tried to get Vision up to escape to another location.

Thanos started striding his way towards you two as the team did their best to push him away.

You felt Vision turn your head once more. He shook his head as he pressed his wound. You pressed your forehead into his as you drowned everything out.

"We need to leave-"

Vision shook his head.

"We can go-"

"[Y/N]." He finally spoke.

You stopped talking. You knew there was no way of escaping this. Tears fell down your face at the realization. He was going to die. You closed your eyes as you pulled yourself into him. You wanted to be back in hiding, you so badly wished none of this was happening.

"I love you," You whispered to Vision as you heard Vision sigh.

"I love you [Y/N]," Vision spoke back. "I'm sorry it had to end this way."

Your body shook as you cried, "I just wanted us to be happy."

You felt Vision's lips press into yours. The feeling was different than the other times you two kissed. This was a goodbye. You cried into the kiss, wanting to make this all end. Vision then pulled himself away from you.

"We will be my love," Vision whispered to you. You both stared into each other's eyes one last time. You payed attention to the detail. The way the gears behind his eyes turned, the way the blue coated around his eyes to catch your attention. You noticed—

You felt Wanda's powers fling you away from Vision.

You yelled as you felt the impact making you loose your breath for a moment. You looked up from the ground as she quickly used her powers to destroy the stone. Wanda focused her powers to the stone as she mouthed an apology to her best friend.

"I'm sorry you have to see this," Wanda spoke to you making you stare up at them two.

You looked behind you and saw the whole team trying their best to assure Thanos would not get near you three. One by one he was destroying your friends, flinging them like rag dolls.

A pained scream escaped Vision making you scramble up in fear, "You're hurting him!" You shouted with tears and tried to get to the love of your life.

"No stay away!" Vision screamed through his pain, "It's okay."

You stared with your eyes widened, Vision stared completely at you. You both didn't break eye contact. The last thing Vision wanted to see before he died was you. He only needed you.

You heard Steve yell at the top of his lungs, you turned around for a moment and realized Steve was the only one going head to head with Thanos. The moment you made the discovery, Thanos smashed Steve to the ground making him go unconscious.

"Wanda!" You shouted to get her attention. Wanda turned around and saw Thanos walking towards you three. She used her other arm to create a barrier between you three and Thanos.

You helped Wanda by pushing the barrier with your back so you can still look at Vision. A shout escaped your mouth as you used all your strength to make sure Thanos didn't lay a hand on Vision. You sobbed as you saw Vision's head start to decompose.

Just as Wanda reached the peek of destroying Vision, he looked at you one last time.

"I love you," He mouthed.

With that, the entire forest was covered in a bright golden light. The energy caused you and Wanda to get thrown back and hit the ground.

Thanos looked around in shock for a moment and looked down to you. You cried into your hands as golden sparks fell down around you three. Vision is dead. You knew it was to protect the universe but you still felt your heart rip in two.

Thanos stared down at you as he heard you choked through your tears. His hand patted your head making you flinch at the touch.

"Don't worry my child," His voice spoke making your body shiver. "I know what it's like to lose the one you love the most."

You stared up at his with a glare, "How would you know? You don't seem the type to have any feelings."

Thanos sighed and walked away from you to where Vision once was. You eyed the way he stared at the ground. "My child, one day you'll understand the price you must pay in order to truly save the universe."

You were confused at his sentence, that was until he pulled out his gauntlet. A bright green circle formed around it. The pieces that had been Vision slowly formed back together again. The bright explosion reversed making you and Wanda widen your eyes.

With a blink of an eye Vision was back together and alive. Vision opened his eyes only to see Thanos.

"No!" You and Wanda screamed at the top of your lungs and tried to get to Vision. Thanos simply waved his hand, you and Wanda were flung back across the area.

You sobbed and got back up again. You saw Thanos grab Vision by his throat.

"Don't do this!" You cried out.

Vision turned his head over to you, "[Y/N], I love you so much."

Thanos then dug his fingers into Vision's forehead and ripped the stone from his body. The color drained out of Vision's body as Thanos tossed his lifeless form to the side as if it was trash.

You screamed in agony as you ran over to Vision's body. You cried as you pulled him into your chest. All the memories of you two flooded your mind. You wanted the pain to go away. You wanted all this madness to go away.

You focused only on him. Even though he was dead, you still hoped that he would miraculously come back to you. You still wanted your happy ending.

You felt your chest turn, you looked at your hands. They were covered in ash.

You noticed it started covering the rest of your body. You looked up at your team in fear. You noticed they were all looking distressed.

"Guys?" You called out. They all looked back at you with wide eyes before your body was completely covered in ashes. Your vision was then consumed in darkness. The last thing on your mind was Vision.

This was it.

Thanos won.
