ONE — LEFT BEHIND

YOUR HYDRA BASE was being invaded by The Avengers and you were instructed to not make any contact. The whole base was there to make sure the Avengers don't even stand 500 feet from you. They couldn't risk you being seen by at least one of them. You knew exactly why they didn't want you in the area but there you were, front of the lines fighting Steve Rogers, or shall you say Captain America.

You knew he wouldn't recognize you since you were forced to wear a mask at all times, just like Bucky Barnes in the other base. You and the soldier never really talked, the most you two did was exchange a glance and went your own separate way every time you were near each other.

You shook off the thought of Bucky as you swing your fist at Steve's jaw making him stumble back a few steps but he countered back by throwing his shield at you. You quickly ducked and missed the vibranium shield seeing it breaking the wall behind you. You smirked at the opportunity and pulled your gun out and aimed it at him. You quickly shot the bullet at him but a blue blur appeared in front of the fire and disappeared. Steve smirked at you, "Guess you don't have him on your side anymore, huh?"

You shrugged and aimed the gun at him again knowing Pietro would come back to save Steve again. You were about to fire again but saw Pietro trying to sneak up on you from your peripheral view. You quickly grabbed your knife and swung it behind you hearing a scream from behind you. You turned seeing your knife deep in his shoulder. You smiled and began to swing your arm to punch Pietro on the face but your hand stopped moving. You looked at it and saw a red glow surrounding it, you gasped once you felt your body flying back against the wall.

"We have to take you back," You hear Wanda talking to Pietro. You look up to see Steve and Wanda making sure he was okay. Pietro leaned against the wall, his face pale. You got up from the floor and grabbed your gun. You noticed your mask was on the floor but you didn't care, you wanted revenge.

You pointed your gun at the three feeling tears starting to form, "I didn't want to kill you guys this way."

Pietro heard your voice, recognizing it and widened his eyes. "[Y/N]?!" Pietro gasped as Steve and Wanda opened their mouth in shock. You glared at the three as you had your gun pointed at them. "You're alive."

"I've always been alive!" You screamed at them remembering what happened the last time you saw your once called team. "You all just left me behind."

The whole team was at a base trying to take down another Hydra base. It wasn't anything they haven't dealt with before. You all were told to quickly get rid of anyone or anything and you all did but Fury miscalculated the amount of soldiers in the facility. You all were in different parts of the building fighting different people trying to get this mission over with but something caught everyone's attention.

"There's a bomb that's going to go off in 40 seconds!" Natasha said suddenly making the whole team's stomach drop. They all still fought waiting for a command from Steve.

"Everybody go!" Steve screamed into the comms. They all started running away from the group of agents knowing their destiny soon. You all then met up at the main level and began running with you behind them until something pulled you back. You gasped and fell seeing a Hydra agent with a gun in their hand. You kicked his legs making him fall. You two began fighting and you saw your team out of sight. You felt a knife being driven into your stomach making you scream in pain. You glared at the man and pulled your gun out finally ending the fight you and him had. After killing the man, you began running away feeling the floor starting to shake.

Back at the jet the whole team was gasping for air and starting the jet up getting ready to leave. Pietro sped around the jet and didn't find you. He quickly ran back to the group seeing Wanda looking at him in concern.

"Where's [Y/N]?!" Pietro screamed then heard you screaming into the comm. The whole team got out and started running back seeing you finally kill the agent and started running to them.

"[Y/N]!" Pietro screamed from afar then started to speed to you trying to ignore the floor starting to shake.

"Pietro!" You screeched until the bomb blew up making Pietro fly back towards the team. He knocked Clint and Natasha down and got up quickly.

"No!" Wanda screamed seeing the building blown up and destroyed. She screamed as tears fell from her face. Pietro didn't want to believe it. He didn't believe his girlfriend was dead. He sped around the building while the team stared in horror. They failed you, you were dead and it was all their fault.

"You just left me there to die!" You screamed while tears fell down your face. Your grip on your gun tightened when you noticed them not saying anything. You heard men coming closer as the twins stared at you in shock. Steve felt tears in his eyes, he wanted to tell the team you were okay and alive after these past months but he couldn't, you had a damn gun pointed at them.

Pietro and Wanda looked at you shocked. They genuinely thought you were dead, Wanda felt your heart stop, "[Y/N] we thought you were dead. The whole team thought you died."

"Don't you dare lie to me!" You screamed while shaking your gun to them making their hearts pump.

"[Y/N]..." Pietro voice broke. The team was almost near you guys and he didn't want anything to happen to you. "I ran back for you."

"Well I guess you weren't fast enough." You said with gritted teeth. "I thought you were the fastest man alive?"

"I-I I'm sorry," Pietro's voice cracked.

You heard the last of the men available to attack coming from behind the three people you still care about, no matter how much you want to deny it. Once they came into view you still had the gun pointed at the three. The three looked at you as you heard Tony calling for them on the comms. You sigh and looked at the five men there waiting for your orders. You looked down then back up and fired your gun. Steve, Wanda and Pietro flinched hearing the noise but looked at themselves seeing themselves unharmed but looked back and saw the remaining Hydra agents dead.

"Go." You commanded to them only for Pietro to shake his head frantically. "No I'm not leaving you again."

You glared at the three, "I said go!" You screamed which made Steve run while pulling Wanda with him. He grabbed his shield from the wall and looked at you and Pietro.

"Pietro."

"Listen to him, Pietro." You said while reloading your gun, not keeping your eyes off of him. "Your team needs you."

"They need you too." He said.

"No they don't," You said to him then looked at Wanda and Steve. "I died long ago. The team doesn't need me anymore. Now go, they might've called the other bases to come help."

You see Steve running up to Pietro and pulled him away from you, "We're coming back for you." You hear Pietro say before the three left the building to go back with the team.

You see a few Hydra agents run up to you with their guns pointed at you. You rose your hands up in surrender and looked out the window to see the Shield jet flying away. "I'm counting on that," You whisper to yourself as you got taken away into imprisonment.
