Be Like You [COMPLETED]

CHAPTER SEVEN

    Peter got into the back of the red car at the end of the school day, Happy driving. Ned and MJ did as well, MJ looking around inside of the nice car. Ned, however, had already been to Peter's new home and inside of the fancy cars. He wasn't used to it, per say, but he wasn't as shocked either.

"Wow." The girl mouthed as she looked around the small space. "Nice interior." She huffed, observing the beige leather seats.

"Yeah, Mr. Stark has like a million different cars. They're all really nice, especially the classics." He said, a smirk on his face. He had been to the garage and looked at all the vehicles one day after school when he was curious.

"...The classics?" Ned questioned at the same time MJ breathed a "huh?".

"He's got old cars that are in really good condition and he considers them the "classics". Sort of like how book lovers consider books like Old Yeller classics." He explained. "My personal favorite is his 1967 Chevrolet Impala."

Ned had a "what the hell is that" look on his face but MJ's eyes widened. "He has a what?!" She almost shouted with a gasp.

"Hey, keep it down." Happy interjected from the driver's seat.

"Sorry."

"A 19-" Peter started, but was interrupted.

"No, no, no. I heard what you said I just- Can I see it?!" Her face brightened with a smile.

"Uh yeah I guess." The boy responded with a shrug

"Why're you so obsessed with this car?" Ned questioned, looking to his right at the girl.

"Because it's only the best car to ever exist! It's from one of my favorite shows, Supernatural. I've wanted one ever since I started the show around 6 or 7 months ago. I actually just finished season 13 a week or two ago. I'm still not over the death of-" She rambled but was cut off as Peter put a hand over her mouth.

"Wait, you finished 13 years worth of a show in 6 months?" He questioned, eyes wide with surprise.

"Oh, that's nothin' sweetie." A light blush creeped up the boy's cheeks at the use of the nickname. Thankfully, no one noticed. "The SuperWhoLock fandom has our ways. It gets really interesting when you try to watch a 43 minute ep" (Peter realized "ep" meant episode."). "in 20 minutes or so. Oh and-" She talked on and on about her fandoms until they reached the ginormous house. 

    MJ, to engrossed in her rambling, didn't notice. Ned, who was just nodding along and not paying any attention, also didn't see they'd arrived. The last of the trio was looking at MJ and thinking about how pretty she looked in the all black outfit she was wearing.

    All three were snapped out of their thoughts, however, when Happy snapped impatiently. "Hey, kids, I don't have all day. We're here." He said in a tone clearly reading "get out of the car."

    They all mumbled their oops' and sorry's as they stumbled out of the car and onto the pavement of the drive way. MJ had an excited look on her face, contrasting the shocked and slightly scared look Ned had during his first time at the Stark residence.

     "I'll- I'll show you around and we can- we can look at the car after, yeah?" He said, gesturing the house as they walked towards the front doors.

     "Sounds good." She said with her close-lipped smile.

     They went inside and it was about the same as when Peter had shown his other friend around for the first time, only MJ wasn't a stuttering mess.
