I swung from building to building, shooting webs to the closest structure. I'd just left the house and was starting my nightly patrol. Before I officially did anything, I decided to get a sandwich from my favorite shop in Queens.

I swung to the ground and casually walked inside. People stared but I didn't particularly care, seeing as I was much more confident when I was Spider-Man.

"Hello, sir!" I spoke cheerfully. It felt weird to call him "sir" but Spider-Man isn't supposed to know who Mr. Dellmore is. I looked at the menu that hung above the counter, although I already knew what I want.

    "What'll it be... uh... Spider-Man?"

I ignored the shocked expressions of the employees as I ordered. "Can I get the #5 with pickles?"

"You got it, boss." Said another employee, beginning to make the sandwich.

"That'll be $5." Mr. Dellmore said from the cash register.

I handed him the bill and walked over to the cat, laying atop the counter. "Hey Murph." I mumbled quietly, seeing as I also wasn't supposed to know the name of the cat. I scratched behind his ear and commented on how Mr. D had a nice cat.

    "Uh... thanks."

Getting my sandwich, I gave a thank you and headed out. I bumped into someone though, making her drop her phone. "Oh, I'm sorry Miss." I bent over and picked it up for her, wrapping the fallen earbuds around it neatly. Handing it back, I saw who it was.

"Oh um... thanks. And uh, hello." MJ said a bit awkwardly.

Behind the mask my mouth had dropped. I composed myself and pushed away the thought of how nice her hair looked when it was straightened.

I ushered her over to the small ally way next to the shop. "Sorry. People aren't really supposed to know that I know you."

    "It's fine." She said, chuckling.

"What are you doing out, it's pretty late." I said, pulling my mask off now that we were in private.

"Not much, honestly. I just like to go for walks sometimes."

"So, what are you listening to?" I questioned, gesturing towards her earbuds.

"Oh, it's a song called End Tapes. You probably don't know it. I only know it from the movie Twilight. I used to be obsessed with the books and would listen to the soundtrack when I read. I'm uh, listening to the soundtrack right now." She said, chuckling again.

"Actually I think I've listened to that before. It's a good song." I went to put my hands in my pockets, and then realized I wasn't wearing pants, so why would I have pants pockets? I wished I hadn't run into her while wearing the suit. I looked at the ground sheepishly.

"So, what's it like?" She said after a moment.

I looked up at her, confusion on my face. "What's... what like..?"

"Being Spider-Man, being famous? Swinging through the air with webs."

"Well, first of all, I'm not famous. Spider-Mam is famous, I'm just a nobody." I laughed a bit to ease the sad feeling of my self deprecation for her.
