^ahhhhhhhh^

By the way, I've never mentioned it, but in this fic the Avengers are still, like, a thing. They just aren't needed right now so the team hasn't seen each other in a while.

Peter's POV

Pepper and Tony exited the car and went towards the back. I saw Pepper open the back door and Tony took crutches from the backseat and gave them to me. With my healing, I was getting closer and closer to being able to walk. We walked (well I hobbled) towards the Dairy Queen. Tony held the door for us and Pepper said in an all-to-proper voice "why thank you, kind sir." They're such dorks.

Upon entering, I saw posters for new specialty ice creams. I ignored them, knowing full well what I wanted. After all, I ordered the same thing literally every time.

We went up to the counter and greeted the guy at the register. He had light brown hair and cast on his arm. In big letters was signed the name "CONNOR". I idly wondered if the to the two— Connor and Evan —were boyfriends. I smiled lightly at the thought. He was looking down at the register in front of him, playing with his fingers and clearly not noticing who was standing in front of him.

"Hello. Can I get a large chocolate extreme with M&M's and cookie dough?" Tony ordered. Hearing the Tony Stark's voice, the employee looked up.

To my surprise, he didn't go wide eyed or start freaking out. He simply looked at Pepper and asked "A- And for y- y- you ma'am?" Sure, he stuttered like a lot of people do upon seeing Tony. But I think it was because he just had an issue with stuttering, not because of Tony. I felt kind of bad for him. Having a stutter sucks.

"Okay, first of all, don't call me 'ma'am'. It makes me feel old." I gaped at the trio of them. They seemed comfortable with each other even though they didn't seem to know one another. "Secondly, can I get a medium cookie dough blizzard with strawberry sauce on top? Thanks."

The employee entered that into the system before turning to me. "Um... can I get a small Royal Oreo blizzard with cookie dough?" I asked. I knew I could eat way more than that, but whatever.

"Actually, um," Tony cut in and looked at the employees badge. "Evan, can you make his a large?"

"Y- Yeah... S- Sure thing." He finished pushing a few buttons on the computer and then placed our number card on the counter. He then disappeared back behind the counter and into the other room.

Tony picked up the number card and we went into the area in which the tables and booths were. "Were do you want to sit?" Tony asked, gesturing to the almost empty room.

"Um... how about over there?" I suggested, pointing to a both next to the window. Just outside the window was the street which the sun was setting over.

"Whatever you say." He said as we walked over to the booth. We sat down, I leaned my crutches up against the booth behind us and Tony set the number down so it was facing out for the employees to see. It was pointless seeing as we were basically the only ones there, but whatever.

"So um, why wasn't he, the employee guy like, surprised to see you? Usually when people see you they freak out. He seemed chill about it." I asked the question that was bouncing around inside my head since we walked in.

"Hm? Oh, oh. It's probably because we've come here before." He answered.

"Yeah, it's so close to the tower. The entire team's been in here multiple times. They're used to it I guess." Pepper added nonchalantly.

"Wait, the Avengers?! You've all been in here? Thor?! Bruce Banner?! Natasha?! Clint?!" I said in surprise. I realized I was talking a bit loud but honestly didn't care.
