it was the next day, renjun had been woken up by his alarm. he stayed in bed since he couldn't be bothered getting up.

"renjun! get! up!" jaemin barged into renjun's room and started nudging renjuns arm. renjun stayed unbothered and mumbled something like "go away" under his breath. jaemin was getting annoyed so he did something out of the ordinary.

jaemin kissed renjun on the cheek.

"get up please!"

renjun shot up and faced away from jaemin, his cheeks red and blushing. jaemin couldn't believe himself what he did. they were friends, F-R-I-E-N-D-S.

"u-um, i'll get up now."

renjun got ready while jaemin stayed outside his room. jaemin wondered why he kissed renjun on the cheek. why would he do that when they were friends? his thoughts were interrupted when renjun walked out of his room.

the two walked out the house and started walking to school.

"jaemin, don't get too worked up about what you did. it's fine with me." renjun gave a sweet smile and jaemin's heart softened.

they saw their friendship group waiting at the usual spot and walked to them.

"hey guys." jaemin said.

"ohmygod guess what! jisung and chenle are dating!" donghyuck blurted out.

"dumbass, that was meant to be a surprise!" mark hit donghyuck on the head. before donghyuck could say or do anything back to mark, renjun and jaemin started squealing. they started questioning the two youngest members.

"who confessed?"

"for how long?"

"whose top?" jaemin shut his mouth after realising what he just asked. donghyuck face palmed and mark covered jisung and chenle's ears.

"they are too young for that jaemin!"

jaemin shrugged and apologised. they all left to go to their classes and while walking jaemin asked donghyuck a question.

"hey donghyuck, do you like anyone?"

"and more specifically, do you like mark?" renjun added on.

"uhm, what makes you say that."

"oh i dunno, the way you two interact it screams "i like you mark lee."

"ohmygod shut up jaemin, i don't like him!"

"sure sure, invite me to the wedding."

donghyuck had enough and chased jaemin around the hall.

"im gonna kill you na jaemin!"

"catch me first!"

renjun watched the two childish friends and donghyuck chased jaemin in their classroom. renjun sat down in his spot but there was a note on his desk. he opened it and it read,

"hey renjun,
meet me at the back of the school near the water fountain after school.
it's important

jaemin noticed renjun holding a note in his hands,

"renjun whats that?"

"it's a note, here read it."

jaemin read the note, more like examined it.

"i'm only gonna let you go if i come with you."

"that's fine with me."

the teacher walked in and class started as usual. renjun noticed jeno looking at him more then usual.
