renjun was right, jeno thought he was texting the girl from the cafe

was it a bad thing that renjun was smiling like a hopeless romantic at his phone? he turned his phone off and continued sleeping.

renjun was in class with jaemin and donghyuck. jeno was sitting a few seats away from him.
"renjun?" jaemin tapped renjun on the shoulder
"hmm?"
"why are you acting differently today?"
"what do you mean?"
"bitch please, i know when my best friend likes someone or is thinking about someone."
"ok police you caught me."
"who is it?"
renjun didn't want to tell jaemin about him texting jeno and getting close to him as a different person. jaemin was his best friend and trusts him with his life but if jaemin found out about it, it would break him.
"jaemin and renjun please pay attention in class."
a few students, including jeno looked back at the duo, and jeno winked at renjun. renjun looked away but jaemin saw it.
jaemin didn't talk to renjun for the rest of the day. at lunch, they sat at opposite ends of the table and didn't make eye contact.
renjun knew exactly why jaemin was acting like this and he desperately wanted to talk to jaemin but everytime he would try to, jaemin would refuse to listen.
school ended and the two best friends have gone the longest without talking to each other in a long time.
jaemin sighed and finally spoke up.
"renjun, what the hell was that?"
"i'm sorry jaemin, i have no idea why he did that."
"i'm going to ask you a question and please answer honestly."
renjun faced jaemin and nodded.
"in this past week, have you talked or made any contact with jeno?"
renjun stayed silent. he absolutely did not want to tell jaemin about the whole catfishing thing and going to the cafe with him.
"no, nothing at all. he's probably just looking for someone to sleep with again."
"his hormones never stop" jaemin rolled his eyes but then the pair laughed.
"renjun, promise me you will never ever do anything with jeno."
"i won't jaemin don't worry."
"good."
