"Don't you dare walk away from me right now Malfoy!"
"I am not walking away I am simply going to my room for the night. Goodnight Granger."
"Not Before we talk!"
He stopped and turned to face her. "About what? Enlighten me, Granger, please."
"Oh...
"Ginny. You know how I've been calm as can be for the past few weeks?"
"Yes, Mione. It's been unsettling." Ginny said lacing up Hermione's wedding dress.
"That's over. I'm either going to faint, vomit or both simultaneously."
"Not in that dress you aren't." Pansy said coming over with her veil.
"Hermione, you just had a lovely tea and breakfast with your two most beloved mother figures. Within an hour you marry your Prince Charming. Today is going to be the best day of your life, you are just nervous because you have somehow managed to squash those feelings for months." Luna said nonchalantly from the stool she was perched on reading the Quibbler.
"Fine. You are right. Where's Draco's ring, Gin?."
"Right over th-"
"Accio ring box!"
Hermione opened the box for the millionth time and ran her thumb over the band staring at it and tearing up.
"I love him so much. I can't believe I ever hated him. He's everything I never knew I needed and more."
"There." Ginny said as she pinned Hermione's veil onto her head.
"You look like a princess." She added admiring Hermione who looked absolutely radiant.
Narcissa entered the room looking stunning as ever.
"Not a princess dear. A queen. My son is very lucky to have you. And so am I."
For the millionth time tears welled in Hermione's eyes as she wondered what her parents were doing at that moment. She was preparing to walk down the aisle and they didn't remember her existence.
Luna saw this and stepped forward.
"Resilientia." She spoke quietly sweeping her wand across Hermione's face.
Hermione raised an eye brow.
"It will keep your makeup from moving an inch. You can cry all you like and will remain radiant. This is your day and it's bittersweet I know. I want you to be able to feel all your emotions without worrying about ruining anything."
"Thank you, Luna."
Hermione looked up at her three bridesmaids glittering in front of her and grinned.
"Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I don't think it would be possible for me to have made better friends."
"Not to cut off this surely touching speech, 'Mione, but Draco is probably sweating bullets, and burning holes in the aisle from pacing. It's time. Save the thanks for your toast." Pansy said chuckling lightly.
"She's got a point. Time to have your moment, babe." Ginny said helping Hermione up.
They all quickly made their way down the hall to right outside the double doors to one of the great halls in Malfoy Manor where Arthur Weasley stood waiting. Narcissa waved good bye to the girls and allowed herself to be ushered in to sit next to Molly.
The band began to play the selected music, and Pansy saluted Hermione before heading down the aisle. Luna followed her. Ginny gave Hermione a final squeeze before her turn then moved down gracefully through the hall to stand across from Blaise.
The music changed to the wedding march, and Arthur extended his arm to her.
"Are you ready, Hermione?"
She took a deep breath, then nodded.
"Definitely. Thank you so much Mr Weasley."
"It's my pleasure. Now smile, you look stunning, you are going to wow young Mr Malfoy."
She beamed at him and took his arm as he led her through the doors.

"Merlin's pants." Hermione breathed taking in the room as Arthur laughed at her.
"You aren't the only one amazed by what they see. Look." He gestured with his eyes to the end of the aisle, where Draco stood slack jawed at his future wife as they made their way towards him.
Suddenly all nerves, even butterflies were gone. She smiled at him and the look on his face suggested he might faint. Then a grin spread across his face.
Hermione and Arthur reached the bottom of the stairs and the Kingsley addressed him.
"Who gives this woman away to be married today?"
Before Arthur could speak Hermione responded.
"My father. Although I'm not entirely sold on that statement not being sexist."
"Hermione, I knew you were going to say that." He replied with a small smile.
Half of the wedding party snorted. The other half tried to hide their grins. Mr Weasley just looked elated Hermione has declared him her dad. He turned to her and lifted her veil away.
"Knock him dead." He said quietly then went to sit next to his wife, and Mrs Malfoy.
Hermione finished her journey up the stairs to stand across from Draco who couldn't seem to keep the tears in any longer, as one rolled down his cheek.
"The couple has prepared their own vows." Kingsley announced stepping back.
"Hermione." Draco began.
"I look back with sadness that I didn't make a move the first time I wanted to, at the Yule Ball. We could've had much more time together. But I'm more than happy to settle for the rest of our lives. You are the smartest, strongest, and most incredible person I've ever met, and I know I'm lucky to have you. I will love, treasure, and stand beside you until the end of time. I love you, Hermione."
Now she was crying too.
"Draco. You both match and challenge me in every way, yet there are no true fights between us. In a time of brokenness and pain we connected and somehow you healed all that was hurting. Now today I get to stand before everyone we know and say that I couldn't be happier to be your wife. I will cherish you, protect you, and admit to you and ONLY you when I am wrong. Thank you for being my one true love, and the person I will spend the rest of my days with. I love you, Draco."
"Hermione Granger, do you take Draco to be your lawfully wedded husband until death do you part?"
"I do." Hermione said looking up at Draco's grinning and tear streamed face.
"Draco Malfoy, do you take Hermione to be you-"
"I do. And for much longer than till death do us part."
"Well then, with the power vested in me, by me, I declare the two of you wife and husband. Hermione Malfoy, you may kiss the groom."
