"Why are you scared?"
He asks,
"Why are you frightened?
Don't you know,
Don't you realize,
I have you?"
He questions-
"Don't you realize you're safe?"
Pause for a moment-
Think.
"You don't have to be afraid,
You don't have to be afraid.
That fear,
That drives you closer
To the edge.
My child,
You don't have to be afraid.
I'm holding you,
Right now,
You don't have to break that way.
Instead,
Come crying to me,
I promise,
You're gonna be okay.
My child,
I promise you're gonna be safe.
Cling to me
With all your broken pieces.
You don't have to be scared,
Of the touches,
Not as I hold you in my arms.
You don't have to listen
To those beautiful lies,
My child,
Cling to the truth tonight.
I have you, right now,
And despite how it seems,
I'm NOT letting go.
Don't be scared,
My dear,
Don't be frightened.
I have this.
And I have you."

From The Pen To The Soul
PoetrySometimes, writing isn't an option; it's a necessity. This is my story. Everything I write, is a part of me. But it's up to you, to find your story; connect to yourself through my writing. (Most of these are sent to my big sister)
