Robin hung up the phone and bit his lip not knowing what to say. He couldn't just tell Regina that her ex had escaped and was running loose amongst the town. That would surly be enough stress to kill her.

He didn't want to lie either, they'd promised to be honest with one another and he wanted to keep that promise. Finding himself stuck between a rock and a hard place he decided to calm down and think.

Slow deep breaths, what could he do.

A vacation. That's it. He nodded and immediately started planning it. It was perfect, a get away, just what they needed. The problem was how to get out town, it's not like you could just walk through the town line...well he could....and Regina might be able to...and Henry definitely could, maybe it was possible.

He would need to run it by her though, and right now she was a little preoccupied with Henry who was sick. He hadn't thought about that, they would have to wait until he was not sick.

He sighed, there went that plan.

He watched Regina cuddle with Henry and propped his head up. He knew that she would baby him until he was healthy and then baby him some more. He came over and kissed her head and told her he was gonna take the day off today.

She nodded slightly confused as to why he was doing that but didn't question it. It was his life and she didn't want to force him to do something. "Okay babe, what are your plans?" She asked softly. She was nothing if not nosy. He chuckled at her curiosity. "I just want to stay home, we haven't had a family day in a while and you might need help around the house with Henry out of commission." He smiled and she nodded kissing his cheek and holding her son closer.

Robin went upstairs and she shot Emma a text saying she wouldn't need to pick Henry up this afternoon and explained that he was sick. Emma shot back a text saying "did he eat another turnover?" And Regina rolled her eyes and told her to shut up.

They both had jokes about it, a banter if you will. She put her phone down and held Henry close kissing his head and letting him sleep while she watched television.

He sat stiffly rubbing his wrists after getting the cuffs off. He watched her through the window as she held his great grandson. He'd never hated her more. Regina had always managed to make his life Hell and now here he was an escaped felon with his own grand daughter and son in law hunting him down.

He vowed that she would never get away from him. That much he knew. He watched her quietly and wrote down a scheme to get to her.

*Two Weeks Later*

Regina was feeling ill. Henry had just gotten over the flu and she was feeling under the weather. Robin hadn't told her about Leopold yet, so she was oblivious. She came down that morning and opened the door to get the mail. She creased her brow when she found a small envelope on her welcome mat.

Picking it up she examined it as she grabbed the other things from her mailbox and stepped back inside. On it was written in black ink; Regina Mills. She had no idea who sent it and it looked like it was hand written. Setting the mail on the table she opened the envelope quietly and took out the folded up letter reading it.

My Dearest Regina,

Did you miss me? I've missed you.
Do you still think of me when you lie awake in bed at night? Do you touch yourself? I do. I think of you often. I think of everything I'm going to do to you now that I've escaped. So much is to be anticipated. See you soon.

-Leopold

She read the letter over and over. She ended up getting sick and vomiting into the trash bin next to the counter. Her hands shaking violently her breathing got quick.

Henry was the first to come down and notice his mother in this state. "Dad! Mom needs you!" He called and picked up the letter as Robin raced downstairs and pulled her into a hug as she sobbed. The young teen read the letter and felt sick himself. Robin noticed the paper and took it from Henry. He read it and called the charmings.

David sat on the edge of the couch. Regina had since calmed down and was now standing fully in robins embrace making no move to leave him anytime soon. Charming looked up and sighed softly "we'll have it ran for evidence, well increase patrol in the area, well catch him Regina." He sighed

There wasn't much the sheriff could do. He knew Leopolds intentions and he knew modern technology wouldn't help them with this one.

Regina looked at David quietly "increasing patrol won't do anything David you know that." She stated angrily "it's all I can do" he shot back "it is not and you know that. Increasing patrol in the area isn't going to stop him I need around the clock protection!" She huffed "I cant give that to you Regina there's not enough man power!" He shot back "it doesn't matter I'm the god damned mayor!" She screeched. Emma stepped between the two of them "both of you stop." She stated seriously. "David you stay in the patrol car outside I will stay in the guest room upstairs. I sleep at night David comes in and sleeps during the day until Leopold is caught fine? Cool." The blonde stated not waiting for David to pipe up. She headed upstairs and laid down to sleep. It was the middle of the night by then and everyone was on edge and tired.

David made his way out to the car and sat in it grumbling unhappily.

Robin took Regina upstairs and laid down with her hugging her close. "They'll catch him." He whispered to her softly and she sighed.

She wanted to believe him, but a bigger part of her knew there was no way he could know that. She laid in bed and hardly slept that night.

———-

By morning she was completely miserable. Her body ached her nose was stuffy and her eyes were puffy and red. Robin woke up next to her and felt her forehead "baby you have a temperature." He whispered softly and she grumbled in response. "Stay here I'll get you some medicine." He said softly.

Instead of taking his orders she got up slowly and looked out the window. David was dead asleep outside. Some security guard he was. She shook her head and walked to the bathroom feeling dizzy.

She tossed her cookies into the toilet and robin came in sighing softly. He held her hair up for her and rubbed her back. "That's it let it all out." He mumbled

"Don't tell me how to puke I know what I'm doing." She whimpered closing her eyes.

She hadn't meant to snap she just felt horrible and he wasn't helping.

Henry went downstairs and saw one of the windows was open. He creased his brows and went to go investigate.
