I met Mike at a party organized by his friend Sam. I was such an innocent girl and had never had a boyfriend before. When Mike saw me at the party, he made a first attempt to approach me.

“Hi girl” he said to me.

“Hi” I responded in a shy manner.

I was too shy to even look at his face.

“Am Mike, Sam’s friend. Want to have a little chat with me?” he said to me.

At that moment I wasn’t sure whether to say yes or no for no man had ever approached me before. What came to my mind at that particular moment was that Mike wanted to just use and dump me just as I had heard other girls narrate their experiences with men.
.
I agreed to have a little chat with him although I was quite nervous.

“What’s your name gal” he asked in a low deep tone.

“Am Kate” I responded shyly looking down.

“Do you live around” he added.

“Yes I live not far away from here,” I said showing directions with my hands.

“Ooh! Okay, I see you are my neighbor,” he said nodding his head. Mike house was not more than a kilometer away from where I lived. He was a branch bank manager in one of the banks around while I was a sales agent of an insurance company in the same town.

Mike looked rich, talked rich and walked rich. He drove different types of cars, from Land cruisers to Prado’s and he hanged around with classy friends. I later learnt that he came from a very rich family and owned quite a number of estates in town. I felt quite timid talking to him but I had to compose myself. We exchanged phone contacts and he promised to call me after the party which to me was definitely during the night.

Being an insurance agent and young in the job for that matter, I didn’t earn much. I lived in a single room where I paid a house rent of three thousand a month and mind you, it was a challenge raising that rent. Mike lived in his own house a mansion for that matter from the description he had given me during our chat. I was struggling in life here having been born in an extremely rich family. My parents lived in America and my only two brothers lived big in the capital city. Since I was born, I always counted myself very lucky as I was brought up in the best family anyone could ever dream of. Being the last born in the family and the only girl, everybody loved me so much. I lived happily, I lived like a queen. Everything that I ever wanted in life I easily got it. We were one very happy family. One could easily mistake me for my brothers’ lover from the way we mingled, hugged and, held each other’s hand. There was simply no barrier among us.

However this happiness did not last for long until my brothers started dating. I was so happy for my brothers and their lovers. My brothers fiancées got along very well .They became best of friends. Little did I know that that very friendship they shared would end up bringing down our family. However, I suspecting nothing still behaved the same as before with my brothers. I would hug them as before, hold them as usual and play with them as I was used to .I did not realize that the two girls were becoming very jealous.

It was one Friday evening when Kevoh and Mark (my brothers) called me for a cup of tea in a restaurant. I hurriedly rushed to the restaurant where I found them waiting for me. I gave them a loving hug but discovered that they were very cold at receiving it. We went into the restaurant, had our cup of tea then Mike broke the silence by saying that they had called me there so that they would have a discussion with me. At this moment my mind was wondering around thinking of what the issues could be. Kevoh been the firstborn in the family took the initiative to tell me what they had summoned me for. He said that their girlfriends had been complaining to them so much about the relationship I shared with them (my brothers).
